I haven't noticed a bad taste. Maybe I'm used to it. Still good fast food.

Hardee's is potentially great when they have a cook who knows how to cook, unfortunately most of them around here have an apathetic staff who don't quite cook the patties enough so they tend to turn out gray and spongey, but that's the case with the majority of fast food here. The Whataburger and Captain D's happen to be high quality though.

I just had one a week ago after several years (over 10 years) and the patty is only half as thick as they were 10 years ago.
This is in Germany BTW.

I can't imagine how thin they must be current day.

They started off frozen as skinny as cheap coasters when I worked there as a teen.

During my trip to New Orleans back in 2015, I tried Krystal's and the chefs and employees there were very serious with cooking their high quality products.

Hardee's, being owned by CKE Restaurants as their mid-to-east coast chain alternative to Carl's Jr., can be good whenever they want to

Hello Kiwis. As promised, I have gone to a Korean McDonald's . I have gotten a normal burger and a shrimp burger. They have korean exclusives but I hate overly sweet food. (Which Korea is notorious for)
It appears they have changed their seasonal menu so I can't take a picture of the grimace smegma taro pie. However, I got 2 burgers and ate both. (Well ate some and forced my husband to eat the remains)
Shrimp burger was not good. Pretty fishy. They put this orange sauce that was very vinegar and bitter. More breading than shrimp . 2/10 waste of money
I got a McDouble but it tastes like a normal McDonald's burger except bread was sweet. 5/10

They discontinued the taro pie here. It was more chemical and sugary than anything else. Pretty gross and not worth it tbh. Looked like grimace smegma. They do have hallabong (orange) sprite right now and it's pretty good. A lot of the sauces are sweet as heck and I dont like it much. Best McDonald's I had was in Canada. No idea why but it was just clean, food tasted good and the employees were respectful. Tasted like America but slightly better aside from a few small differences.

I went to American McDonald's and I don't know why they are so rude. I thought America was going to have the greatest fast food in the world. Absolutely incompetent. I don't see how they're able to fill out a job application but can't read a damn thing on the screen. It's usually black people who are there and they are hard to communicate with and are disrespectful. Stupid monkey people. Always bad for no reason. I think that it's too costly to be that shitty, might as well get nice food at that point. Whataburger mogs them in every way

The brioche buns certainly make the Big Mac look a little less saggy/flaccid than the old buns, I'll say that much.

That's the thing about fast food, it really depends on who the employees are and who the manager is, and also the franchise.

Most of the McDonald's in town used to be locally owned and at some point got sold to an investment firm out of Pennsylvania (PA being halfway across the country). The only one that wasn't owned by them also was the only one that had a working milkshake machine. Curious.

Back in 2014 they had some dollar menu slop called the grilled onion cheddar burger. Just the normal McBurger with white cheddar cheese and grilled onions, nothing else.

I've weirdly been missing that shit lately, real cheap and tasty.
