I'm tired of this shit

For all the cash they put into it I found the animation to be very hit or miss, most of the time the faces didn't seem to match the voices, I guess most of the cast didn't really have a lot of VA experience.

As far as half hour redos of First Avenger go I guess it could be worse, but this aint enough to get me hyped for Phase 4 after the last 4 shit shows
This could have worked if Cap's team in WW2 wasn't made up of every race despite it time-wise making 0% sense and no one in the movie (or this cartoon) having issues with it. It's Marvel wanting to have their cake and eat it.

Thoughts on the supposedly leaked Moon Knight costume?

You know in the first Avengers movie, when Steve gives Fury $20 as a callback to some joke earlier in the film? For years I didn't remember that was in fact a callback, and thought Steve was instinctively handing Fury a 20 because of his lifetime of knowing blacks as service people and he thought it was a highly generous move without thinking. Because Fury kind of looks insulted when he does it.

In hindsight it should have been immediately apparent that it wasn't what he was doing, but for like 3 years I would have sworn that was what the joke was.

ngl, it took me a hot minute to realize this wasn't the case too.

Actually enjoyed the first What If, Steve’s armor was an obvious reference to Invincible Iron Man and I love it.

The romance ark was sweet, showed that you can have a “tough muscle chick” and not have her be a dyke.

Not showing Peggy visiting Steve’s grave was disappointing though, normal universe Steve got to make peace and say goodbye to Peggy, this Steve probably dying long before Peggy returns is a sensible choice.

All in all a fun tie-in and a decent cartoon. That’s all you can ask for, sexism was overdone but that was to be expected. Peggy has far more charisma in the face of sexism though and I kinda think that counteracts it.

Oh and I have a theory regarding these alternate universes, each has a defined protagonist…….

I’m not saying they’re doing the Chronos Corps…… but this does take place after Loki.

Apparently the sexist dude is exactly the same as is character from Agent Carter (or his variant at least). Was a bit overdone, but there's a precedent at least.
In all fairness agent Carter did deal with sexism and some racism in Season 2. But they didn't overkill it and it was at least understandable since it took place back in the 1940s so it didn't feel in your face. hence it worked well with the black scientist's character and motives in the second season. I think it helps that Peggy is a good character than say captain Marvel.

The runtime probably necessitated it being hyper-charged (as RLM likes to say), but you're right that if it were Captain Marvel instead of Peggy it probably would've been a dealbreaker.

In other news, this week's episode is T'Challa as Star Lord.

Call me when we get Bucky Barnes as Black Panther, after he assumes the title by buck breaking T'Challa...
Someone has to takeover Wakanda, Africans don’t like women, T’Challa killed his cousin and if I remember correctly all the men in power are either, ooking retards, a faggot with a disc in his jaw, a pussy who starred in a Jorden Peele movie and…… I forgot the rest, it’ll probably be torn apart by tribal warfare unless Bucky steps up and buck breaks on a country-wide scale. All while the ghost of T’Challa looks on from hell.

Fratricide is sin.

Based on the screenshots I’ve seen on Twitter, it’s very mastabatory over T’Challa. Now maybe that’s due to the actor’s tragic passing, but like…he apparently stopped Thanos by having a discussion with him and now Thanos is a Guardian.

Oh, and remember this joke in the first Guardians?

In the What If?, the dude literally fanboys over T’Challa and also joins him.

I dunno, it comes across as way too “he would be the most perfect most awesome Star Lord ever and solve all the problems” to be entertaining to me.

Ok I know the actor died. But this sounds like a shitty fanfic

See that’s not even in line with T’Challa’s character. He isn’t smooth or a charmer even, in fact he’s quite reserved in his speech (thank god) and by changing that core trait you turn an interesting scenario into “Star-Lord but he’s dipped in chocolate and has a shitty accent.”

How do you think they’re gonna do the Ego plot line? Black man finding his absent abusive father? Hehehe.

Why would kid T'Challa grow up into the same guy with completely different stimuli and role models? Peter got abducted while he was grieving so he became an asshole due to not properly managing his trauma, T'Challa actively chose to go into space and clearly became pretty sociable as a result of meeting so many different people as opposed to staying in one place for his entire life.

Getting really tired of the "white man version of the character is the worst version." Captain Peggy saved Bucky, recovered the Tessaract, and even beat up a squid god. T'Challa Star Lord is popular and famous, made the Ravagers a source of goodness and hope, and even beat Thanos. Wow I can't wait to see what the next 7 episodes bring us.

Peter Quill is still Ego's son, and the episode ends with Ego coming to Earth to talk to Peter, who is now a loser janitor. The Watcher even says that this is going to be a HUGE problem going forward in that particular universe.

T'Chaka is nothing but kind and loving, and never stopped searching for his son for 20 years, even building spaceships to send to the stars to look for T'Challa.
