MCU Television and Animation Series on Disney + - WandaVision, FATWS, Loki, etc

So near as I can tell, the theme of every single episode of "What If?" so far has been 50/50 split between,- "Major white male character in the regular MCU would have been better if they either weren't white /or a male, and - "White male characters in the regular MCU would have been fucking evil with a few minor changes."

It isn't a huge deal, but the fact that literally every single episode so far has fit into one of those two categories makes me go "hmmm...?" It's probably fine though, I bet I'm totally imagining it. Woke Disnarvel totally *loves* white males in the current year. XD.

Can’t wait until Disney starts churning out retro 80s action heroes after China just banned effeminacy. I get that the wokies don’t care about money, but the investors certainly do.
I wish that would happen but, they're more likely to go for more super heroes who are in masks 90% of the time and when their unmasked they'll be two different versions of them.
For the American audience it will be a black gay guy or a masculine looking woman.
For the Chinese it will be a masculine looking Chinese guy.

Lots of black on black violence in this weeks episode.

I thought they would go all out on the "Killmonger was actually right" take that is defended by weirdo lefties, but they still treat him as a bad guy overall, stabbing people in the back and trying to cause a race war. Episode was pretty forgettable, by the end it felt like nothing really mattered/was interesting enough to warrant a "What If?". Animation was also the worst one by far, lots of broken necks and horrific faces.

Remember that Killmongers plan in Black Panther was to deliver a bunch of Wakanda guns to black people all over the world so they could kill the whiteys that opressed then instead of just continuing to kill each other daily. "Yeah, ima give wakanda bazookas to gang members, that should work". In this one he designed a fucking droid that gets turned into a droid army using Stark money. Also hes a weeb.

That's going to backfire because the Chinese don't actually want Asian characters in Hollywood movies. Their native media is already 100% Chinese. They watch Hollywood movies for the exotic factor.

Huh. I would’ve expected Killmonger to lead a Haitian-style genocide against white people and the writers to present this as a good thing. Instead we got evil warmongering men need to be stopped by the good pure peaceful women.

The writing for What If, seems notably better the most of the marvel shit these days. The stories are actually interesting, even if a lot of the main avengers get sidelined.

I liked this one, Tony’s last words to Eric are legitimately sad and their “bonding” is actually a good show of sociopathy, how perfectly they can mimic emotion and how dangerous they are when left to their own devices.

Though Killmonger, more so than his main universe counterpart deserves a John Walker shield-execution the episode did a good job showing how flawed his methodology and mindset is, can’t believe I’m saying this….. but good job Marvel.

The easy route would’ve been to make him more sympathetic to score easy points with the regular suspects.

EDIT: Name-dropping the Patriot Act and alluding to it’s many problems was fucking based.

It's mostly the pacing that keeps them from being absolutely stellar, but I agree for the most part. Plus a lot of these are going to be leading into a grand finale so it's hard to stay frustrated for long.

Some of the actors they got back from the movie, either don't give a shit or just suck at voice acting. Sebastian Stan and Michael B. Jordan are the worst two so far.

How do so called fans of the MCU still not know that the shows prior to Disney Plus were produced by Marvel Television which was a separate division to Marvel Studios and Kevin Feige had no intention of acknowledging them in the films because he hated Ike Perlmutter?

Joss Whedon desperately trying to tie Agents of S.H.I.T into the Avengers movies and Feige just going "lol no" always made me laugh.

Trailer for the Disney+ Hawkeye Series has been released

Looks... bad but that bit with the molotov was pretty cool.

I think they know but it's not going to stop them asking. It doesn't help that there are a ton of rumors about Charlie Cox returning as Daredevil in the next Spiderman movie.

TBF I understand it, the Netflix shows had some really good casting and it sucks to think they're just going to get replaced.

With all the multiverse faggotry they should just bring in the actors, all of which besides Iron Fist I thought were really good, and just bring them in as "different versions" of them or whatever. This Spider-Man shit's going balls out with it and it seems like as good an excuse as any.

Barring that, just plop in D'Onofrio Kingpin and simply pretend he had been around town all along and go from there. Goddamn is D'Onofrio good.

Is the MCU going to do a single thing in the near future that doesn't say "white men are the literal worst?" Even that last episode of "What if?" had to take an extra shit on Tony. Yeah, it shit on Killmonger too... but that was only so they could double down on the "Men are the worst (even if they're niggos)" narrative, and set up two shitty backup female characters as the *real* heroes.

This isn't funny anymore. It's actually kind of racist (and even a tad sexist) at this point.

What If is by far the worst thing the brand has ever shat out. I'd wouldn't worry about it until they start doing in in product anyone actually cares about. When they go the "Um actually? Reed Richards is a fucking psycho!" route, then it'll be a problem.
