If he invests into a handloading setup, it wouldn't be the worst, convert .223 brass and use .308 projectiles.
You're not wholly wrong and I'm trying not to be contrarian here but the pandemic of peace taught me that "I'll just load my way out of it!" instead sounds like a million boomers screaming "WhErE ArE SmaLl RiFLe PriMErS?!?!?!?"

No idea what the context is, but its topkek to see two guys on the internet use guns to intimidate each other.

I'm just surprised that a drama/gaming e-celeb actually has a well put-together rifle setup instead of some flashy shit-tier gamer rifle. I mean look at all the random crap he has in his room in the background.

It could easily have started with a bunch of shit on it...and then the shit got pulled off piece by piece the more he shot it.

Frankly what cracks me up more is that the gun is probably taller than Charlie.

Well... my car repair was cheaper than I thought, so my finances are doing great, and I've been saving a lot. Sportsman's is having a big shooting sale rn, there's a 22 Henry lever action in the $300 range- either that or I can go with my original SD40VE pistol plan. I kinda want a lever gun/22, ngl, at the same time, that pistol will haunt my dreams if I don't. I'm thinking on it, got a trip coming up soon, a week off work- so got to decide whether to spend or save- I think I got enough for either. Still, decisions decisions. Could get a cheap NV scope they're selling too, idk.

I've never regretted purchases I've planned for, but the more impulsive gun purchases usually end up working out less than well.

SW99 in .45 I bought because it was quirky and I just turned 21 when I saw it in the counter, I'm looking at you.

I'd stay the course: .22s are not going anywhere, even Californian lawmakers know not to fuck with em, and NV is only getting better and cheaper as far as I can tell.

cheap NV scope
generally not worth it outside of major brands due to the tube being the #1 indicator of quality and mystery meat scopes can be anything, and major brands can have other issues. ATN can freeze up in some circumstances and seems to have software issues necessitating firmware updates or relaying on their warranty (which is pretty good), Sightmark has battery issues and can rattle apart with some magnum calibers (even the new Wraith) but is okay for typical deer hunting rounds, et c like the Sightmark Photon. Firefield has a very budget friendly NV device that is cheap enough that i got a dozen hog or coyote trips out of it i wouldn't feel bad if it exploded, but it's not for use in anything but small bore.

Again, I'm thinking on it. On one hand, bank account is looking really good, on the other it'll look even better a few weeks from now, even with sportsman's sale gone, and I'd probably feel better getting the SD40VE then even though I could take the hit now, in no small part that I'm going on a trip. Might get some 7.62x39mm brass case, it's good for in store at 14.99 for Winchester FMJ at Sportsmans, buy 5.

Thought as much, it's the wraith I think they have 100 off, which since I have a 300 win mag... yeah

Honestly? Tough call, the pistol is going to be really good to have, but the Henry .22 is not bad, and it'd be a damn good gun to have for some particularly rainy day just as well. The SD40VE isn't gonna go anywhere soon, so you COULD chance it, worst case imaginable you might have to shoot someone with a .22, in which case, consider that the cartridge isn't actually shabby from a rifle barrel, and with the quick and easy repeating, making up for it with quantity is easy enough.

In not retard world suppressors are $20(maybe $30 in Biden's America) throw away parts. Cheap easy to replace part that shouldnt be expected to last a long time.
You get what you pay for, cheap ones have their place, and wear parts such as rubber wipes would be a common feature if not for AFT faggotry, but it's not too hard to take care of this stuff.

In non retard world suppressors come with every gun. Even guns where suppressing them isn't really practical.
I might have said before, but I think stuff similar to the Colt Moderator would be very common. A lot of people want their blasty novelty guns, but something to just reign in blast at the muzzle on carbines without adding a bigass can on the end would be very attractive from a practical point of view. I can envision a Coonan .357 with a small muzzle device for moderating blast.

Old timer that frequented the gun shop I work at recently passed away. His Dan Wesson .44 mag that he spoke very fondly of in our conversations now sits in the counter, he gave it to the shop shortly before he passed. Be kind to the old guys that come in, they're not here for long and there's a lot to gleam from them.

Snap it up.

Crossposting a question I have from another thread: can we actually trust that payment processors like Visa, Mastercard, Discover etc. aren't tracking gun and ammo purchases anymore? They all claimed they didn't, but the only one who pushed back even slightly at the idea was Visa, and I don't trust these companies.

Is there any way to verify what they claim, or are we just taking them at their word?

creditors have tracked purchasing categories since the 1930's and older than that if you want to consider actual ledgers as a data source. this is important for documenting what sectors and markets their financial products are being used in so they can better position themselves in the market. prior to the 90's, firearms were in 4 categories: department stores (5311), sporting goods (5941), catalog sales (5964), and various security services under contract (7393). after 2017 was proposed separating out firearms specifically from these categories since it wasn't common in department stores or catalog sales anymore, and security services were for professional services, not retail sales. pawn shops had their own code which i don't remember that also included firearms in them, and there are construction services for things like demolitions or blanks for nail guns, et c.

the anti-gun lobby wanted it to be it's own code for that product category so that legislation could be drawn up to specifically exclude it from various credit programs or cash withdrawals or ACH payments. a lot of states do this for securities trading or gambling or OTC drugs for example, so it's not something new. alcohol is another one that's scattered in like a dozen codes and doesn't really have its own in the same way gambling does.

i'm not worried about visa or whomever tracking purchases, i would be worried about them caving to ideological pressure to deny those transactions, or for pressure on legislatures to specifically ban those merchant codes from various types of transactions (like ATMs), turning guns into a cash-only type service, which already has a poor reputation in other industries.
