Regarding the RPG-7 incident, these were deactivated devices lawfully returned to functioning registered "destructive devices"???

IF that is the case, I would assume %100 of all explosive or propellant was removed. I would be very curious as to how they replaced both these chemical compounds, it's not like gasoline where 89 octane is 89 octane no matter where you fill up, these chemicals can be wildly different in kentic energy, when I was younger and into model rocketry and other related "hobbies" that had to end around 9-11, I understood the difference between rocket propellant and explosive is a very very thin margin. The re-welding would be another thing to look at very closely, I really hope they didn't simpy reweld the pressure bearing components rather than forming new new ones in a machine shop setting and using those instead.

bro im pretty sure you can just use, like, half as much smokeless for the booster charge. if its pistol powder use a little more b/c pistols are less powerful.

Finally got to take my late granddad's old Marlin .30-30 to a friend's range today. I'd hope he'd be happy it's being used again.

There has been a new development from the escalating insurgency in Myanmar (you might know it as Burma)
The Karenni Nationalities Defense Force (KNDF) is said to have developed a new rifle, a gas operated 5.56 rifle.
The model name is TZ23, the geographical origin is said to be Kayah state.

Observations
-3D Printed Lowers, based on the Hoffman Tactical design. integrated pistol grips.
-The typology of the gas system is not clear, there is a doohickey on the bolt carrier where the gas key would be but no connecting piston, so that rules out long stroke. I have also never seen a short stroke system enclosed in a tube. The gas tube is also noticeably larger than than of a standard AR gas tube, which would lead to interface issues leading to gassing issues. I have no basis for this assumption but I would think a "real" DI system might be most probable compared to the Stoner Internal Piston system with the doohickey being what the gas pushes against.
-Barrel profiles are non government and sensible. Could be cut and turned from either bar stock or blanks, may have been acquired from Thailand but I couldn't say for sure.
-You can see it in the second image and a little in the first but the charging handle (which is attached to the gas key doohickey) appears to be lifted upwards into a slot in the upper receiver, the reason for this is not immediately clear
-Speaking of the uppers, the "in the white" upper in the first image leads me to belief the upper is comprised of two parts that are joined together somehow, a machined "Upper Upper" and a COTS Tubular "Lower Upper"
-The Third image shows 7 rifles, from left to right the 1st rifle has a different handguard (and what appears to be a milspec gas block possibly indicating that it was salvaged from another rifle) than all the others, the third rifle having a different front sight.
-In the first image you can clearly see that both uppers have milled slots which resemble 1913 rail but doesn't look quite right to me, however in the 2nd image you can see an upper that appears to me to not have any slots milled, and in the 3rd image the 6th rifle clearly has slots milled but is unique in that regard.
-Maybe they think it's cool, have adopted the symbol themselves or haven't bothered deleting it from the CAD file but the emblem on the lowers is that of the American III Percenter's Militia.
-The barrel extension on the rifle in the first pic looks non-standard

Additionally, the Decker-380 top/side loading PCC with DIY FRT Compatibility has entered Beta with the Black Lotus Coalition. The two subvariants being the UDP-380 (top loading) and SD-380 (side loading). Barrels can be manufactured using Electrochemical machining in a 5 gallon bucket and the springs can be homemade or bought COTS from generic, non gun stores.
I first wrote about the gun here, more information is included with the post.
Lastly we have the UDP380

Am I the only one who just buys ammo online exclusively? Even with shipping its cheaper than local and you can get larger quantities. I dont even glance at the ammo section when Im at my local stores.

The only ammo i buy in person is bulk shotgun shells from Walmart. works out to be cheaper. everything else is online by necessity. I just don't have any local stores to go to that carry substantial quantities of ammunition i require.

The rounds were probably new production training round with no explosives in the nose.
lmao
Having looked at the video, the fuckwits used the demilled tube the parts kit came with, and you can even see shit venting out from where the grip assembly is attached, underneath where you'd no doubt have been able to see their extremely dubious patchjob.
Yep, retarded YouTube syndrome strikes again. These people are prevalent in the YouTube "weapons and weapons adjacent" communities.

You should see the blade deflecting on twitter from these people's dickriders.
they only make it for a few weeks of the year. That's generally true of all cartridges outside of 9mm, .45, .38/.357, 5.56, 7.62x39 6.5 creed etc.
So true, that's why I don't have any weird cartridges unless it's an antique or "special" gun

Speaking of guns, my S&W 617 has been great to shoot.

Now for a single action Ruger Blackhawk .38/.357 plus a 9mm cylinder.

Question is, 4.62 inch or 5.5 inch barrel? I can't decide.

Maybe I'll buy a box or two of something novelty from the local gun show, but otherwise I buy in bulk online.

It's kinda wild though, I'll order like 1k rounds of 9mm and the shipping never requires a signature. They just leave a box of ammo on my front step. And I live in Baltimore, in the city.

One of these days some porch pirate is gonna win the fucking jackpot by making off with 1000 rounds of 9mm.

I don't see a point in the 5.5 inch length other than aesthetics (and history- 5.5 inch colts made and issued to artillery units in the Spanish war and Philippine insurrection). I have a .45 colt blackhawk with the 5.5 inch barrel, and its my favorite pistol (getting close to 5,000 rounds i believe) but i only picked that length because it was the only one available at the time. I would have preferred the 4.5 inch because i do carry the gun regularly for bear and methhead defense and the shorter length is more conducive to that i feel.

the 5.5 inch is concealable with a longer coat but a 4.5 inch could fit in a larger pocket easily, which is why that was the most popular length historically on colt SAA's. But I highly recommend the Colt SAA and its clones and derivatives like the blackhawk. they are the most ergonomic guns ever made. they point extremely well, and they never feel much different in the hand no matter the barrel length. even a 7.5 inch barrel does not feel clumsy at all.

Can only agree, they just feel perfect in your hand. I also find I like revolvers in general with barrels around the 4" range.

Some day I'd like to get a Joker gun for funsies though.

Group trip with some coworkers out to the range today. One of the guys had never fired a gun prior, and now I think he's hooked - he particularly liked my grunged-out AK and I think I'm going to end up building him a clone of one of my ARs after the holidays.

The CAGuns subreddit is still cooming over the addition of the M17/18, P320 and P365 to the CA handgun roster. They act like it’s a blessing to have neutered, 10-round mag limited bastardizations of perfectly standard, legal handguns allowed to them by the State of California. I’m really awfully tired of the bootlicking mindset of the CA gun community. The folks on Calguns are at least much less insufferable, but the young people are surprised to find out that other states don’t even ask for ID when you walk in to refill on ammo or buy accessories.
