I will bring a question, whats the best and cheapest, more so cheaper way (while not being china crap) to do a mount for a reflex sight... with a fixed front post? Will be on a AR15.
Is it a flattop upper? Most mounts bundled with sights allow for a decent co-witness with the front sight no problem, can always check reviews and generally everyone asks. If you want to mount it to a carry handle you either have a standard picrail mount with a high height over bore or a gooseneck which allows for co-witness.

Yeah it's a flat. I just want something he'd think is cool, on looks mostly. But despite it being a safe queen I don't want total shit. He's got a few legit rifles but as a boomer having a "1337 cawadooty machine gun" ok he's more educated but, I really think having a "spec ops look" gun that's semi useful would make him happy. EH much like many things in life, you need to know your customer/audience. I just don't want to turn it into a trash rod with some airsoft shit.

...I don't mind a 50-200 red dot. But I really don't want to tear the gun down with a FRP sight.
I like the optics Sig makes. Their budget models like the Romeo 5 usually sell around the 150-200$ price mark. They're nothing fancy, I have the Romeo5 and they're definitely built to a spec, but it's not airsoft-tier trash either I'd say.
I would also consider Vortex, but I'm not super familiar with their products and I've heard mixed reviews regarding their red dots.

Russian GP grenade launcher adapter for firing 12ga, ostensibly for anti-drone duty:

Seems like it's a pretty poor substitute for even a standard break-action single, and nevermind that seating & cocking the adapter could easily result with a mangled hand; but I guess it's better than nothing??
:story:
If anything it speaks to the shortage of shotguns in Russian service despite the need, although one would think it shouldn't be too difficult to crank out a run of basic bitch break-action singles.

or get clones from china, not like they're doing anything with them.

i'll second the Romeo 5, for an inexpensive optic with included mount it has enough features and ruggedness for most people. the only other one might be an Aimpoint PRO if you want to spend the extra dosh on something with increased water or shock resistance, however it's 1/3 co-witness to accommodate PVS' which isn't everyone's cup of tea - the Romeo is absolute out of the box while the PRO would need a different 30mm mount to be absolute.

Anyone ITT that can speak on their personal experience getting a suppressor in the last couple weeks or so? I have seen on various spots online that wait times have drastically decreased for NFA stuff and I’m getting tempted to throw some money at a suppressor either for my Ruger PCC or my basic bitch 16” midlength ARs. Both of the LGS’ I frequent have those SilencerShop kiosks that also streamline the process

the dozen or so suppressor forms i've sent in have come back inside of a week (although this doesn't really count for exempt transfers for agencies). the one MG i purchased for myself was about a 3 week turn-around, compared to one i bought years ago that took the better part of 9 weeks.

Well I’m not a glowie or a big spender who can afford an MG, I just want to get a basic bitch QD suppressor for shits & giggles. I was reading on reddit that the NFA trusts are still taking longer wait times compared to filing as an individual.

Finally got around to going to the range and I think I've got my Glock 19 customized to my liking. First actual shot at the actual target (after the traditional warmup mag dump at the dirt backstop) was a fucking bullseye.

First shot's a winner indeed.

I got an approval in 24 hrs and one in 4 days. This was about 2 months ago. A lot of stuff is sold out because of this.

Individual not trust.

I guess that’s a good thing because it would give me some time to save up for what I actually want. I’m torn between a cheaper suppressor from Silencer Shop or what I hear is the nicer more expensive option, Otter Creek

I was at the NRA expo this year and went to look at some guns and suppressors.

Visited Silencer Co and Huxworx

Holy shiiiiittt Huxworx is NOT CHEAP although their titanium stuff is stupid light.

Silencer Co is a bit cheaper but not exactly cheap. Lifetime warranty and a good selection of cans. Not as light as Huxworx.

The PSA Krink is awesome 😎

From what I was told, the JAKL will be getting a updated, more premium model next year, think a SABRE line JAKL.

The PSA shotgun was pretty nifty.

Oh and they mentioned they're working on their PSA Dragunov too.

Staccato has some neat stuff including the new "C" lineup.

Steel slide, aluminum "frame" and a polymer grip. Double stack.

The P series is the big version, it's what all of the original STI guns were.

Primary Arms optics were great. The NOVA lineup is super cool, they have a red dot bright dot on a mil reticle.

Sadly they won't be making a premium 1-6x SFP as they mentioned that a 1-8x at the Premium level is so good "we don't think anyone wants a 1-6x at this tier"

Their new premium 1x Prism is.... FUCKING AMAZING 🤩

A bit more optic diameter and essentially infinite eye relief. It's a red dot for people like me with insane astigmatism

My first suppressor ever was approved in 75ish hours, April 22-25th, on April 29th I put in the paperwork for a second and I havent heard squat about that other than they've charged me for the tax stamp. Im filling out an an eform 1 now and Im gonna go to my local shop to see if they can email me my finger prints and picture to use those for that, and hopefully itll go quick like the first suppressor.

the results are in and larue triggers do in fact work with PSA ARV's.

and who would have thought as soon as i put an SLX1x on it primary arms has a new and improved prism on the way. cool!

Haven't broken a gun yet. Might just be lucky.
Most modern centerfire guns can tolerate a fair amount of dryfiring, but it's still that sort of thing where you're putting excess wear on something somewhere, snapcaps are just better for your guns.

Yeah out of my 10 mil Ronin
I would not shoot .40 out of 10mm barrels if I could help it, you're essentially headspacing the cartridge on the extractor that way, and 1911 extractors in particular are not flexible.

Chinese Thompson converted to 7.62x25
The curved PPS mag fits the Thompson's lines oddly well, I kinda want it.
