If you're building an optic-only rifle, I'd say go for it - the price seems to be about the same as buying a standard stripped receiver plus a decent rail.
Yeah, it will be optic-only. Thought about adding the NoDak Spud iron sights, but it seems unnecessary as I'll just have an LPVO on it.

Instead of getting a stripped receiver and a rail, I got one of those bare bones charcoal 10/22s for a good price, will just sell the factory stock, barrel, and trigger.

How come I haven't seen this pistol in my WW2 games if its a well known pistol?

It looks almost like a 1911 though.

Because we didn't use it. The Nazis did though and eagle marked FNs are very valuable.

Eh, I have mixed feelings, I do love me a BHP I have most any CZ 75 kind you can dream of. My god sister carries a BPM and I really like that too.

I think being a collector I will just snag a used one, but I'm ALWAYS down for guns coming back, even if not my flavor, because someone out there wants one and more stuff out there better for our hobby and right.

I think having the small modernizing extra rounds is a great way to keep it as it was but just nicer because it's 202x not 1930.

While I love history, I refuse to pay the Nazi tax on things (and this is a guy who paid for an imperial WW1 German marked gun), but honestly, this was always a short list if I have cash to burn as one to snag. I love the BHP the history is cool and just feels weird that a US Mormon gun (in history) ends up a top notch coveted nazi blaster.

Just have to be careful because there's lots of Mitchell's Mausers tier fakes out there.

Looks like this is the vise I have been looking for, a vaccum base so I don't have to nail in a base.

i generally wouldn't recommend a vacuum sealed base for a vise, as their suction power usually isn't strong enough for many torque applications and are also surface dependent for a proper seal.

if you don't want to bolt something down permanently, consider an offset vise:

get a 2x8 about a meter long and drill and bolt the vise about 2-4 inches from one end so the plank is off to one side. when placed on a surface like a table or the ground, this extra length acts as a "lever" against that surface when applying torque in that direction. you can also easily use clamps to hold the vise and plank to a table without permanence or marring the surface. the vise is also easy to move around, can be stored vertically to take up very little space, and you can just unbolt and rotate the vise to use in the opposite direction. the plank is also cheap and easy to replace if needed and you can put some holes in it to use as tool holders or punch blocks, et c.

I’ve gotten good use out of this one, $22 at Harbor Freight. Unclamp it and stow it under my workbench when I’m done.

I know there is one closeby but I didn't know they were cheaper compared to Lowe's or Home Depot lol.

Also well deciding to buy the tools myself as I already have the Magpul Wrench and Bevblock. Or just pay the money for some gunsmith to change the muzzle device.

In that case, the only way I'd bother paying a smith is if I couldn't get the original muzzle device off despite liberal applications of Kroil and heat.

Harbor Freight is so inexpensive that sometimes you do have to be a little wary about the quality control on the products they sell. For something simple like a vice though that's just an inert hunk of steel, there's nothing that can really go wrong fortunately.

You would think that and yet the amount of chinesium HF vises I have seen broken never ceases to amaze me. They tend to look like Swiss cheese when cross sectioned.

I wonder what is the difference between the Springfield Saint Victor and Saint Edge. Seems like the Victor has better asthestics and looks like a more useful firearm of the two.

I have had a vice from there for years and the table I attached it to broke before the vice did. Mine is a combination vice/anvil so it has survived some literal beatings. But it would not surprise me in the least if they sold vices like what you've seen.

I was researching place of manufacture and almost all are manufactured in China or Taiwan. I generally view anything in Taiwan to have better QA than something made in China.

That has been one of the stuff I research online, where was a tool made.
