I find myself wondering if PSA is going to offer a Kenosha Kid meme lower.

While neither are bad, SAF simply does more. I donate yearly to FPC and SAF, both do a fuck ton of legal legwork for our civil rights.Does anybody have any thoughts on Gun Owners of America compared to Second Amendment Foundation? Given recent events I'd like to make a contribution to the Second Amendment, and I'm thinking about joining one of those or something similar. No NRA.
I stick mostly to FPC but I would also recommend looking to see if you have any state level groups as well.Does anybody have any thoughts on Gun Owners of America compared to Second Amendment Foundation? GOA has had a decent grassroots mobilization effort where I am at (Texas). Lawfare wise SAF is the big dog, FPC comes next, and they are just plain aggressive. As mentioned by by @TerminalTryHard, find your local groups if you have them.Does anybody have any thoughts on Gun Owners of America compared to Second Amendment Foundation? Sucks shit meme gun. We already know what Stoner would do. There's in depth autism about the rifle in the guntuber thread. What do you guys think of the WWSD2020? I might be letting my crush on Gun Jesus sway me, but I like the idea of an AR that goes back to the basics. If it has been well implemented, I may consider getting one.

I’m quite pleased with my Rossi 92. It’s no pre-64 Winchester or Henry, but it’s properly put together and not horrendously expensive. The only downside is the hideous red finish on the furniture. I stripped, sanded and refinished mine, and at a glance it would pass for an old Winchester.I'm tempted to buy a new Henry since they actually put a side gate on some of their rifles now. Anyone know of any good alternatives? I don't think Marlin's up and running yet and I'm weary to purchase anything from them again since my 44 is a complete turd.
I own one and recently bought another (not fired yet). I find Turkish shotguns (either mag-fed or tube fed, either pump-action or semi-auto) reliable and well made, and quite cheap to boot.Do any of the [Turkish] Mag Fed Semi-auto shotguns work really reliably?
No direct experience with Turkish semi autos but I had a Turkish pump action for a little while. Shot well enough, didn't see any reliability problems. Fit was a bit rough. The wood was decent but the finish scuffed up easily. Overall better off getting a Mossberg 500/Rem 870.Got three questions for all our discerning Patricians here:
With the wave of Turkish made magazine fed semi-autos really digging into the market these days, what are your opinions on them? I am thinking of guns like the Century Dynamics BF12, GForce Arms AR12, etc.
Do any of the Mag Fed Semi-auto shotguns work really reliably?
Got any recommendations on a good, cheap, 20 Gauge shotgun that will survive hard use until well after my bones have long turned to dust, and my Great Great Grandchildren are using it to keep the illegal (space) aliens at bay? It can be anything from a break-action on up.
We get a lot of turkshit box fed shotguns here in the UK, they tend to be cheaply made, jam-happy POSs that are ridiculously picky about ammo. In the hand they feel plasticky, and just generally cheap. I'll stick to my 870.Got three questions for all our discerning Patricians here:

Rossi and Winchester make some pretty good ones, and Browning has licensed several models from both Marlin and Winchester over the years as well as adapted a few of its own. Mossberg makes a very good Winchester clone in the 464 as well.I'm tempted to buy a new Henry since they actually put a side gate on some of their rifles now. Anyone know of any good alternatives? Turkey has a decent firearms history and the small makers of clones are usually decent as well. however as with all things, sometimes it goes too far where they try to innovate or cost reduce under their own label and not through an importer or license structure and you get some notorious garbage like the spat of Chuck Hawk imports from the late 90's and that hasn't changed much over the years. you really need to put hands on it and examine it. however there are some takeaways if you know what you're getting into and don't mind a cheap shotguns made cheaply that clones a known design. With the wave of Turkish made magazine fed semi-autos really digging into the market these days, what are your opinions on them? Your go to gunsmith sounds like a moron, countless people carry .45 ACP for self defense and while not as popular these days there were numerous purpose built .45s on the market for that stated purpose. In fact if you ever watch California police departments on Live PD type shows they're still using 1911s out there.Does anybody have any opinions about the Walther P-38 and it's variants?
I just got my concealed-carry permit and my go-to Gunsmith strongly advised against using the one gun I own right now (Para-Ordnance P14-45) because apparently .45 ACP is a "overkill" self-defense round. I found one of the West-German Walther P-38's at a nearby pawn shop for around $800, and I figure if I use some kind of super-charged hollow-point self defense round it would make up for the 9mm's general shittiness (I hate 9mm for it's lack of stopping power, but love German firearms and cars).
Thanks for the input- I think I'll just carry the 1911 I have then. The gunsmith claimed that .45 would go through whoever was assaulting me and I would be responsible for whatever it hits passing through- but if I have to use deadly force then I guess it doesn't matter at that point considering there will be a police investigation regardless.Your go to gunsmith sounds like a moron, countless people carry .45 ACP for self defense and while not as popular these days there were numerous purpose built .45s on the market for that stated purpose. I wouldn't fire modern +P+, overcharged, or whatever it's being hucked as 9mm out of a 70 year old Walther,
There's countless <$500 9mm sub compacts and micro compacts on the market, that are ideal for those role. If you want something fancy get a Sig P365 or even the Walther PPS M2, or if you can find it the discontinued Walther PPQ SC.
Otherwise Ruger Security 9 subcompact or the Ruger Max 9.
If this is just your attempt at trying to justify the purchase of a gun you really want, go for it, lifes short, enjoy it. But I wouldn't spend $800 on a relic for a concealed carry piece.
