Oh how I love PSR, to my knowledge he is the youngest and fastest growing gun channel out there and most of his content is of a genre of limitless potential.
Now to go on an unsolicited sperg rant about PSR's impact. I fully believe that PSR is the second or third best thing to have ever happened to the 3D Gun Movement in terms of getting the message out there (this comes with the caveat that I am referring to the "Modern" message and not that of 2013 and also that PSR's content contains around 0 Ideology unlike say Plastic Defense or the 2021 Vice Documentary). Without PSR I don't think the movement would be where it is today, it wouldn't be that far behind but it certainly wouldn't be where it is right now. PSR has essentially done 100x what FOSSCAD did (As much as people like to shit on FOSSCAD they were admittedly doing, very shittily, the best job they personally could do.) in less than a year not only in terms of spreading "The Signal" but making serious inroads into the industry, as evidenced by him now being sponsored by KAK and him appearing at the most recent BDU Epic Shoot. If he keeps getting bigger and bigger it won't be long before he's collaborating with Admin Results (He's practically made for it due to the shared balaclava gimmick) or even more desirably, Garand Thumb or maybe IV8888.

WMLs are one of the places where I think people should find a way to put the money up for a quality piece of gear (and every gun you intend to use defensively, even that pump shotty in a safe under the bed, should have a WML). Inforce and Olight fail way too often, even in classroom environments. Running Modlites, Scouts and Cloud Reins can get expensive, but it's worth it.

I really like the form factor of the InForce lights, but they feel a bit cheaply constructed. The same shape but with better materials and build quality would be an instant purchase for me.

i'm curious to get details on this, as the several hundred Olights i've handled and sold seem to work quite well among my repeat customers doing typical shooting scenarios and keep it for a nightstand handgun. Inforce i've see get cracks in the plastic with hard use on rifles and SMGs (and one funny incident of it "melting" via softening on an MP5's rail after a course of fire) but seem to work alright on pistols.

that being said, Streamlight, Surefire, Gearlight, and a smattering of Steiner/Inforce/Maglite is pretty much all of my weaponlight sales with Streamlight being the most common next to Surefire. this is likely because where i am, officers are often given a list of approved gear and are loath to get an exception letter from their superiors. it's only in the last year that i've had a lot of requests for Olights by individual specifically wanting one, usually for a personal (rather than duty) firearm.

The Streamlight TLR-1 HL is a solid light, I expect you'll see LEOs picking those up, at least some of the alphabet agencies are allowed to carry them. The TLR-1 and the X300 probably have the most options for holsters.

Regarding Olight, I have a few issues. I see a lot of flickering during recoil, even in units that are allegedly new enough that the battery housing should be fine. They also don't seem to handle damage well, especially drops. That might be because of the design, some of them are blocky as hell, and ground loves getting hit by a sharp corner.

Like anything with guns, though, just my $0.02. Sample sizes are too small to really prove anything, and I completely believe that you have seen the opposite. I've seen and heard of them breaking enough that, to me, they go in the "not to bet your life on" camp. (I'm also not a fan of the temperature of the light, not my thing, but that's a personal and very autistic preference)

It is certainly not settled! Technically, he was clearing a malfunction... he just jammed the round into the chamber of his gun instead of extracting it. Shouldn't need a special button to push rounds into the chamber. At best, FAs have an application if your gun is a cheap one like his, you don't take care of it, you're in a place where your gun will be exposed to extreme temperature, dust, etc. without proper storage, or you don't know how to properly manipulate the charging handle. At worst, I question the sense in forcing a round into the chamber if it didn't want to go in, and would prefer to just use the charging handle again.

Apparently I found out the 10 day waiting period here in California also applies to buying a stripped lower as well.

I look forward to when the safety demonstration is required when buying a lower as I found out buying a gun lock with it, was mandatory from the store clerk.

I had an opportunity to get a Ruger PC Carbine but passed on it lol. Settled for the Ruger 10/22 instead, the takedown version.

Anyways what is the best way to grab a gun since looking at some shooting in Texas involving Chad, Armaud Arbary and Jojo the Pedo, they all getting BTFO.

Make sure you adjust the little interface collar on the receiver where the barrel mates to it. You want it as snug as possible for a repeatable zero.

Also, the Magpul Backpacker stock for the Takedown is super cool.

Edit: Also, congrats! Everyone should have a 10/22.

My brother and his wife are visiting for Thanksgiving. She is from a shitty east coast big US city and thinks we are all hillbillies. She never shot a gun. I found this out when I was talking about go shooting tomorrow with my brother. She wants to go. I'm pretty stoked about popping her firearm cherry. I'm going to start her with a Taurus .357 SA vaquero rip off and work up to a Beretta 92 (I only brought handguns with me). Wish me luck.
 
Well, looks like I'll be waiting until at least February to get my Auto Mag. They've settled on a source for barrels, but they still need to do some testing to make sure everything is right on them and they'll function correctly. But it's only like another 2-3 month wait, so not that big of a deal. I'd rather have to wait and know it was built right than have them rush and get something wrong. Hopefully there won't be any other hang-ups.

I did finally get the optic I wanted for my Fostech Origin 12. Went with the Vortex AMG UH-1 Gen 2, and I'm very pleased with it. I haven't seen them in stock anywhere for nearly a year, but I wasn't looking that hard.

I just realized something, apparently the AR platform uses top side charging handles whereas other platforms like the FAL along with the AK use a side charging handle.
