Looks like they're planning to invade Santa's Workshop and put the elves in a labor camp.

Russian one looks a bit more subdued, this is the current "Moss" variant, newer than the Kamysh one. It stands out like a sore thumb during the day but should work better at dusk.

Blue camo is naval, right? Never got the point of that. Any concealment benefit is gone the second you leave the water.

In Russia this kind of lighter blue/purple camo is mostly used by for urban operations by the MVD (Ministry of Internal Affairs, they're responsible for police and national guard type units). Naval uniforms are black or navy blue with a dark blue/white striped undershirt. Paratroopers wear the same undershirt but usually in a lighter blue.

My favorite video game camo was the Neo Moss used by the Sniper from MGS3 or Big Boss getting it in MGS Peace Walker.

As far as current day goes, my favorite is ATACS Forest Green.

Though my understanding is that it's Propper that makes it and is the official supplier for the US Military.

I’m personally a fan of Russian Partizan. Both it and OCP seem to be fairly unique in using light colors and dappled light to camouflage instead of shadows. Both are very effective in my neck of the woods. A lot of the other modern camos seem to fall into the same trap that civilian patterns do, and focus on blending in rather than breaking up shapes. I find them to end up being just a muddy blob at a distance unless you’re in the ideal environment.

My take is that you should have 2 types of camo: real camo and social camo:

1) Know your area. If you have to be out of society, in the woods, desert, plains, mountains, fall and snow, have camo(s) to fit any need.

2) Social Camo: In a police state and in society, the best camo is to look unassuming. Flannels and grays/navy blues/etc. No bright colors ("hey, it was that guy with the bright pink backpack!"), look as forgettable as possible. The ability to throw your weapon off and disappear in a worse case scenario can save you for another day. The forever disease will make shit especially easy for you to wear a mask/cover your face.

Personal Camo recommends:
-Multicam (normal/Arid) is becoming very popular, and a lot of shit now is solid colors or mc. mc is pretty versatile, but larpy cuz the army uses it now.

-Flecktarn: A lot of people like it, but it is very dark. unless you live in a dark area, I would recommend something else. It is easier to make light camo dark then dark camo light.

-Penncott Grenzone: A lot of people will give this shit cuz it's not "adopted", but it is beloved by many people who use it. Blends very well in the woods and is micro/macro designed, meaning it works will up close and far away. Something M81 won't do for you.

-Concamo: Concamo looks the most impressive to me. Every pic I seen of Concamo gen 2 Green or the Brown variant really blows me away with how effective it is. Concamo's biggest downside is it's lack of use. UFpro sells shit in gen 1 green (not as good imo), and ghosthood makes cool concamo shit, but no proper uniforms in it (despite being shown in all their advertising, like, wtf?)

-AOR2: the navy pattern, pretty interesting. The green version retains the digital camo but now uses a pallette more akin to mulitcam then anything else. The desert pattern (NWU type 2) looks great and is the choice of Seals, if you are a die-hard larper.

So that's where that pattern is from. I've actually been looking at a chest rig in that pattern.

It’s technically called ss-leto, and has a three patterns: summer, original, and winter, moving from all greens to all browns respectively. Partizan is the more common name for it, from the oversuit it was primarily used with. There’s not much out there for web gear in that pattern though. It’s no longer officially in use, and Russia didn’t use much camo in its web gear before Flora or EMR.

I wish gear in flora and Digital Flora was more common, cool camo.

Check this out this place. They got some airsoft stuff there but some good gear too. Good place to get a Gorka, I like the Mordor Tac one.

I second that. I ordered a Mordor carrier from them some time ago but unfortunately the plate bags are too small for my choice of inserts. The carrier itself isn't that bad for what it's worth though.

SSO/SPOSN stuff is okay too, a lot of these companies supply Russian PMCs and regular .mil/LE units so it should be halfway decent at least. are Arma is a little pricey, but a few companies make copies of the LBT 6094 plate carrier that are designed to fit either Granit or SAPI plates.

Also, the company UARM, who I believe are based in Kyiv, Ukraine, make some decent gear that's nominally NATO standards. Their carriers are decent for the money and they have experience supplying a variety of clients in Eastern Europe.
