Try to get actually glass for the lens and not whatever polycarb stuff they have. Seems to reduce it for my friend.
Swampfox is glass, and while it's not as bad as some of the dots I've looked through, there's definitely still some horizontal streaking and fuzziness. It's not awful, though, I've got a feeling it'll still be quicker than irons once I practice with it and get better at coping with the distortion. It's just that as a carry optic the swampfox isn't quite what I'm looking for, so before I shell put the cash for something better, I wanted to see if there was anything that could alleviate that small annoyance.

There's not really any astigmatism friendly pistol optics on the market currently. I've heard of some issues with the lenses of See-All's optics popping out if you do something like accidentally drop them and they hit a corner, not sure if I'd trust it for serious use but for a plinker it's probably fine.

I have mild astigmatism and the best one I've used was a holosun 507 with the ACSS reticle. It's not perfect, but it turns a somewhat vertical smear of a dot into a smear in the shape of an upside down V. At the very least my brain can figure out where the aiming point should be as as there's a bit more to work with. I've been happy with it so far and the 507 is a known quantity regarding durability, it is chinese made if that's a deal breaker for you.
That is not going to help with astigmatism. It's just another red dot. You need a prismatic scope like an acog, something that is actually etched on the glass to reasonably be able to see sights with astigmatism.

Like I said originally, there's not really any pistol optics that are astigmatic friendly. I realize my astigmatism isn't as intense as what he seems to be describing, but with pistol optics you're really stuck with either emitters or irons so I was just pointing out what's worked best for me. Vision correction should probably be his first step anyways even if it's not always perfect.

Anybody here with astigmatism? I've got it bad, even green dots look like Florida or a J or some shit. Still, I'm looking for a pistol dot that I can use. I've got a swampfox with their green "circle dot" cross hair reticle right now. It's not bad, better than solid dot for sure, but the dot in the middle still smears horizontally, kind of a fuzzy dumbbell shape. I find that with the current zero, the left bulge correlates with POA fairly consistently. Usable, but somewhat distracting.

I've heard that the holosun models with the Vulcan reticles are astigmatism friendly-ish. Can anyone here corroborate?
The sad part about an astigmatism is that everyone's eyes are going to be slightly different, so one red dot may work well for one guy, but not the other. I have a really bad astigmatism and spent years buying and returning dozens of different red dots and the one that truly worked best for me was the Trijicon RMR with the smallest 1 MOA dot. I have it on my main squeeze MK18 in a scalarworks leap mount and 99% of the time I don't have any problems. As long as I don't turn the brightness up extremely high, the dot is damn near crystal clear. If you're able to get your hands on one and test it with your astigmatism I would highly recommend it.

I swear to god if you took my suggestion

That would have been funnier

if you can use BUIS to co-witness the red dot will likely help people with astigmatism.

Anyone have advice on 20 yard pistol slowfire?

41+78VG1rIL._AC_SX425_.jpg
I can hit black (8 or 9 rings) about 50% of the time. With the 7 ring it's about 20% and the 5 or 6 rings about 25% and the remaining 5% in the 4 ring.

Shots are mostly parallel to the bullseye with the remaining low. Sights are over the target.

Not a big deal but I wanna get better at distance revolver shooting.

Using a .357 revolver.

These helped me immensely; I think of it as something like CBT.

I don't know what the context is but in many cases you have to break the law to get it challenged in the courts, so his logic doesn't even make sense.

To give a brief summary, some dude was arrested for having an AR without the cuckfin, instead had the normal pistol grip on. His bail was set at around $400,000 just for those AWB charges and nothing else. He didn't have the funds and had to do time in jail for it and didn't get his rifles back. All for a pistol grip at best that cost around $30.

So the boot licker at the top is basically telling Californian gun owners to cuck themselves more over these unreasonable and retarded penalties that won't save lives, on AR furniture and just vote harder next time lol.

This fucker is probably the type to take note of what people use at the range then ask if they have paperwork and rat them out.

California really is full of fags

I like the part where he ignores the fact that all those "laws" are illegal in the first place.

The AWB got struck down by the courts.

And then California always pulls out the "en banc" move.

Apparently they appeal to the entire retarded 9th circuit, who then overturns the ruling and makes arguments like 10 rounds is enough and most of the judges are old cunts that hate guns.

Which is why Calguns is as of late doompilled or blackpilled on SCOTUS taking so retarded long on deciding the New York case, the AWB case from Maryland and standard capacity magazine ban from New Jersey.
