From my brief skim, courts will have to apply strict scrutiny now instead of intermediate scrutiny, which will have big knock-back effects for magazine bans as well as AWBs.

Correction: It goes further than that, abolishing both intermediate and strict scrutiny! Which is an even better result.

We were just reading this. If the court stays 'friendly' this is pushing an extention of Heller to be pretty close to strict scrutiny and could have big implications beyond 'may issue'.
From my understanding, it goes beyond strict scrutiny.
  1. (1) Since Heller and McDonald, the Courts of Appeals have developed a “two-step” framework for analyzing Second Amendment challenges that combines history with means-end scrutiny. The Court rejects that two-part approach as having one step too many. Step one is broadly consistent with Heller, which demands a test rooted in the Second Amendment’s text, as informed by history. But Heller and McDonald do not support a second step that applies means-end scrutiny in the Second Amendment context. Heller’s methodology centered on constitutional text and history. It did not invoke any means-end test such as strict or intermediate scrutiny, and it expressly rejected any interest-balancing inquiry akin to intermediate scrutiny.
Emphasis mine (sorry if it looks retarded, had to explain it to my retarded friends).

This is DC V. Heller levels of big.

They kind of did already - TriStar Tec 12. It's more of a clone of a Benelli M3, right down to the collar that switches it from semi-auto to pump. It would satisfy the functionality requirements of the SPAS-12 but not the looks.
I want the looks 😡

Fuck yes, finally some fucking good news vis a bit guns. Now to get rid of retarded magazine and "features" bans

I see we're posting our P-07s. I just picked this one up today.

One of the other guns I got alongside it was PSA's dagger G19 gen 3 clone with the threaded barrel + raised sights and optics cut. I'm now basically being forced to put aside some money and start shopping for a can. It's out of my hands.
What do you think of the Dagger?

My friend was thinking of getting one....first his first gun. How do you politely tell someone to not be a poor?

A PSA as a first gun is just depressing. If he wants a Poors Glock, there's police surplus all over the place.
I've been trying to gently nudge him along but its getting to the point I am going to throw my hands up and say "yeah bro go find a pawn shop for your first gun. Great idea!".

He's always had pooritis when it comes to hobbies so I'm not sure why I expected any different for guns.

Nothing wrong with pawn shop guns. Unless it’s been obviously buggered up by a retard with a dremel, a lot of used pistols probably only have a couple hundred rounds through them at most. The only clapped out guns I’ve ever encountered were duck guns, and an old LA Sheriff issue Beretta 92f. Unless he walks out with a Lorcin, it’ll probably be better than a PSA.

Seconding nothing wrong with pawn shop guns. My first handgun was a S&W 5906 polsurp I bought in a seedy pawn shop and it is probably my absolute best shooter, handgun wise. I would sacrifice every other firearm I own over that gun and I say this as someone that's a complete MP5 sperg because I'd use my jizz as lube for mine if I could.

Picked up a new toy today. I have a thing for bullseye guns, and I've been wanting one of these for awhile now. Got a Sig P210 Super Target. Basically, it's a Kraut made accurized longslide version of the Swiss P210. It's an all stainless, single action, single stack 9mm paper puncher.

Fit and finish is about as flawless as you can get, trigger breaks clean at just over 4lbs. Gonna go out back after dinner and run a few mags through it. Heard the Supreme Court news on the way home. Glad it's salt resistant...
