That hurts CC a bit too much for me ATM. Plus my awful astigmatism ruins red dots for me. A .5 or 1 MOA dot becomes a 2-3 MOA spiky smear
A red dot on the P365 really doesn't make the profile much bigger at all (at least for appendix carry). I also have astigmatism, but the starburst is helped significantly if you turn the brightness down.

As well, the 507K has a 2 MOA dot surrounded by a 32 MOA circle. For any actual self defense scenario you just put the big circle over the guy and it'll hit home.

Does anyone on the farms have experience with shipping their P320 off for RDS milling?

I’ve decided upon the Aimpoint ACRO P2 and am completely unimpressed with the mounting options Sig offers from the factory. I especially resent that their optic ready models require you to detail strip the slide to access the plate.

AK handguard sanding sucks. I've spent the last few nights trying to fit a wood handguard to my m92 with some sandpaper and while the locking piece looks closer to the barrel indent the locking lever isn't any less tight.

Speaking of pistols, any recommendations for decent adjustable night sights for a full-size Glock? Looking at LPA Luminova so far.

It looks like your choice is between that and Mepro tru-glo adjustables:

They both seem to hover around a similar price range, but I can't seem to find any reviews for the LPA, while the tru-glo's product page reviews on various sites are filled with glowing (pun intended) recommendations.

Frankly, the fact that you even have those two to choose from speaks to Glock's robust aftermarket. The large majority of people shopping for target sights are only interested in blacked out rears to pair with a fiber front, as that's what's in vogue right now.

What made you decide on the mailbox?

i've mounted the ACRO using a TangoDown mounting plate adapter on some people's pistols with good success, but if the height bothers you i can recommend Jagerwerks to do the milling correctly.

Meprolight model ML20224R.S is an adjustable version of the gold standard for LE use. Trijicon HD is the alternate i also offer and between the two it boils down to price and the exact use-case. i generally recommend the Trijicons (or if it's a shotgun the XS equivalent offering) for most people, and Meprolight on select models. Ameriglo has excellent compact pistol options in their Pro-Glow line.

Thanks everyone, the Meprolight seems like a good option too, possibly better than the LPA. I use LPA sights on other stuff and they're solid, but Meprolight is very robust and well-tested as well.

Essentially it boils down to tritium vs luminova, will need to think about that one.

*Some assembly required.

Sometimes you gotta just break out the rubber mallot. Eventually you'll get that locking lever to close.

I used files instead of sandpaper - the work went reasonably quickly, but coming from ARs where everything just drops in it was definitely different.

AKs are a lot more involved than ARs. If hand fitting is something you don't want to do, don't get an AK and plan to change anything on it.
My main issue is that I went in under the impression that the amount of material that needed to be removed was less than it ended up being. In hindsight I should've done some rough measurements and saved myself a good deal of time. Overall its been a good little project despite this.

Doing arts & crafts with a not-AR is probably the best kind of fun you can have.

S&W announced a new X-frame revolver the Model 350. It’s a 7 shot that fires .350 legend. I’m curious to see some reviews of it and if the lower recoil compensates for the loss of energy compared to the common big bore hunting calibers (.454 Casull, .460 S&W, .500 S&W) when it gets reviewed.

.350 Legend is definitely the new hotness, so long .224 Valkyrie, .300 HAM'R, and whatever else wonder tonic snakeoil .25 Freedom Fart cartridges came before. Does anyone here have any experience with it yet?
I also want to bitch that modern S&W revolvers have terrible aesthetics. The molded rubber grips look like squished playdough and the full underlug is gay with a long barrel.
