Almost perfect except for the weird magazine ejection..... Nubbin lever thing.

I know it's supposed to be ambidextrous but that one design feature RUINED the USP and similar pistols from Walther for me.

That said yeah, I'd buy one just for some RE4 larping (although thankfully the SIG P226 is also canon for that game too)
I know there are "enhanced" releases that are extended etc, I wonder how that'd help because I'm definitly with you on it being weird. I can't manipulate it with out having to break my grip and rotate it slightly; so if I ever carried it it'll take some training to get used to.

New P320 Design flaw just dropped.
i have a lot of recent experience with the P320. all the factory magazines have a flared base plate on the magazine, physically preventing over-insertion. you can inappropriately use a full-size magazine in a P320 compact to avoid this feature, however magazines for this use are sold with a magazine grip sleeve to also prevent over-insertion. even pro-mag sells a grip sleeve for use on a full size magazine being inserted into a compact frame.

and on top of that, the ejector is a bent piece of the FCU module and can be bent back into place, or cut off and a replacement welded on. it isn't load bearing.

Hey we were talking about that new Hi Point in 30 super carry? Ian shot it.
https://youtube.com/watch?v=Jm4fcDGbbRIApparently it can take 7.65 French long. It's in mono audio, which Ian tried fixing but youtube didn't like. It's on Utreon with the good audio tho
I hate how they're using Liberty Leading the People and fucking censoring her. Why bother?

As a result of reading a TAB article confirming it's presence in the Ukrainian battlespace(https://armourersbench.com/2023/04/16/russias-rare-a-545-in-ukraine/) I came across this Russian Language documentary on the Kord A-545/6P67 Balanced Action Assault Rifle.
In a video published 9 days ago regarding the training of troops of the Russian Army for participation in the SMO, I spotted the first really clear instance I have ever seen of the updated AK-12 (I personally consider it a Gen 2 as I don't count the prototype as an official generation, unlike Max Popneker who refers to it as a Gen 3) in service with troops at 13:19

Anyone got any opinions on the Ruger Max 9? My friends thinking about picking one up as his first conceal carry gun.
I've read a fuck ton about it from guns and ammo, and watched some videos. Go easy on the +p, don't pound it to death, otherwise it's great, comes with tritium, and having held one at a shop, the texture really grips your hand

Yeah, that was the basic idea got looking at videos. I doubt he'll want to use +p ammo. It's not like he's never fired a gun before, but he's hardly a "gun guy" by any means. I don't think he has much experience with pistols but it seems like the gun I'll recommend if/when he asks.

Of course, he also talked about wanting a Redhawk Alaskan as a conceal carry after watching a Rock movie 10 years ago so he might just make a retarded purchase anyways...

So I notice the ATF added a bunch of questions to the form 4473 when I went in to pick up some stuff a few days ago. Seems they're asking the "are you sure you're not buying this for someone else" question three new different ways which is...just fucking amazing. :story:

Also heard at the gun store when I remarked that the ATF added "non-binary" to the 4473:

"Well, they also ask if you've been adjudicated mentally defective later..."

Gotta say, the shelves up here are looking barren and depressing though, only bolt action rifles on the wall, handguns in the case, and completely stripped lowers, which I think are the only exception to the "conversion kit" language of the assault weapon ban WA is preparing to pass.

They are preparing for the worst and hoping for the best methinks.

Are Mini-14s and M1As still available for sale?
