Any kiwi's have any experience with either the new Gen 2 Extar EP9 with the steel internals or the UTAS UT9M? Really want a small PCC to mess around with, don't want it to cost a brick. Waiting to get that sweet MP5 or Scorpion eventually so I can live out all my coolguy dreams. But in the meantime, I want a real fun PCC that'll stand up to some abuse and I can gift it to my girlfriend once I get the one I really want.
There's about a trillion reviews of the Extar, but very few on the UTAS. I will admit, I'm partial to more metal on my guns, so I'm leaning UTAS. And the Extar is proprietary, so no fun drop ins, where I believe that the UT9M has pretty standard AR build, so you can drop in standard AR9 parts.
I've sold some hobby stuff, so have the cash to get either, just wanna get your guys' opinion.
Small mechanical issues don't bug me, I'm a hobby gunsmith and most of the guns I have now are things I had to fix. Just don't want any reports like, "Yeah, the extar blew up in my hand, stole my wallet, and got my girlfriend pregnant with a black baby."
