Checking my reading comprehension here - was he trying to stuff more shit in the suppressor to quiet his shot and it just exploded on him?
He was trying to shoot a grenade from a makeshift launcher, which is funny because the type he used isn't meant for muzzle projection anyways.

A guy who I believe is kind of sort of associated with Sureshot USA is putting out demand feelers for a Reproduction Obr.2020/1 stock for AK Rifles. For those who are unaware, after the rollout of the AK-12 in 2018, several ergonomic and functional issues were identified and this lead to the creation of AK-12 Obr. 2020/21 (Named so for the years of the upgrade rollout). The most distinctive element of the redesign is the stock, which bears a strong resemblence to (and some would say is a kind of clone of) the Magpul Zhukov stock.
Pictured below is a prototype reproduction

Something not very notable has happened, a new gen 3 glock clone (kinda, you can do the SIG/Zev modular chassis thing) has come to the market. This time from a company called G100. The company is also associated with Cody Wilson and Defense Distributed

But wait, what's that I spy? Is that, a PSA Dagger Slide?
Would someone point this out, and cause the company to freak out?
Would they attempt to hide their misdeed, causing many a detractor to sneed?
Yes, they would

You and me both. Read "integrally suppressed" and "lever action" and didn't need to read more. Be the deadliest quietpoke.

it will be very expensive like all new "innovations" while doing not much more than good old bismuth (80% dense as lead). new shotgun? shoot steel (cause cheap) old shotgun? shoot bismuth. or shoot bismuth in both. its close enough to lead that you really can't tell.

Hello yes I am gay and retarded:

What would be the likely cause for light primer strikes on an AR-15? Mid length gas system, and it happens with 5.56 and .223REM ammunition*. Full disclosure, I do have an Armaspec “sound mitigation system” buffer installed which is supposedly equivalent to an H1 buffer. I built the lower using parts from a Palmetto State Armory “rifle build kit” and I am aware that I could have done something incorrectly. I still have the carbine buffer + carbine spring and I am considering just installing that thing and using it the next time I take it out to the range, see if that fixes the issue.

The interesting thing is that it’s an inconsistent and a consistent issue: it only occurred 1-3 times in a 20rd or 30rd magazine, and it always happens when the BCG is in battery. I didn’t take any photos of the primer dimples for the problem cartridges in question, which I’m only just realizing I probably should have done.

I would have asked reddit but they’re gayer than I am and I believe I’d get higher quality advice here.

EDIT: * = I don’t know what brand of ammunition used because I have my ammunition loaded on stripper clips and I also forgot to write the manufacturer/brand on the cardboard sleeves when I packed 30rds/3clips per sleeve. Because I’m criminally retarded

Won't lie. Depending on the parts, I have more luck on eBay for rare parts than finding on most other platforms.

Someone on here recommended everygunpart.com and I was quite pleased with the kit I bought. They are mostly police demills though, so you won't find everything but I was happy with the result

one thing to watch for is having the right FSB on non-Colt and nu-Colt uppers since people don't realize that the FSB is different between rifles and carbines with fixed or removable carry handles, and the fixed carry handle on the CAR-15/XM177, 723, 725, 727, and 733 require the standard sight base (not the F marked base, which was introduced for the M4's removeable carry handle of the and was used on the M4, M4A1, M16A4, and Colt Commando RO933... not to be confused with the M16A2 Commando or early M4's that had a short barrel installed by request by LE but otherwise had the fixed M16A2 carry handle and also used the standard FSB...
F marked sight base. Shouldn't be any issue to zero it at 100m, right?

How can I mount a flashlight to it in its current configuration?

i don't know much about your buffer, but:
1. check that the hammer spring is installed properly and the hammer has free rotation in the fire control pocket (use your thumb to avoid damaging something and move it back and forth from cocked to fully forward - it should not bind anywhere).
2. check that the firing pin has free travel in the bolt carrier, ensure that if you set the carrier on the rear, you can (with a finger or something) freely move the firing pin up and down so it protrudes from the bolt face and it doesn't stick anywhere. check that the firing pin is round and not sharp or chisel pointed or has some other strange shape. ensure the bolt face has no debris or obstructions.
3. ensure that the bolt is locking into position fully - with just the upper held barrel pointed at the ground vertical, allow the bolt carrier group to "rest" in the unlocked position, then gently push it with a finger so it you can feel it rotate and lock into place. there should be no impediment to this motion and no roughness or hesitation. likewise use the charging handle to remove the carrier and feel if there is any binding or hesitation in the removal of the carrier.
4. visually inspect the interior of the upper receiver, especially the cam pin path, for unusual wear, where the metal is obviously being gouged or impinged.
5. ensure that when assembled, the charging handle can draw the BCG fully rearward enough to lock open on an empty magazine with at least 1/16 of an inch to spare. the magazine should be drop free and the BCG held open by the bolt catch/release.
6. use a standard carbine 3.0 ounce recoil buffer the next time you go out and observe performance and ejection pattern.

if you're shooting at 200 meters and closer the FSB will not make a significant difference.

typically you would use a barrel clamped flashlight, one attached to the FSB, a surefire handguard replacement weaponlight (model M500A), or use a RIS and your flashlight's mount of choice.

Well, I did it. I pulled the trigger on an Energetic Armaments Vox S .30 cal sound suppressor today. Probably going to be two months before it arrives since it was backordered. I'm most likely going to swap out the direct thread mount for a Q Plan-B QD mount and Cherry Bomb muzzle device.

GunCAD Dev and Entrepeneur Pembleton & Sons have done it again, this time with their "Dime Job" Glock Trigger Enhancement nub. The product consists of one simple part (Early "Prototypes" consisted of layers of tape on the trigger bar whose function is to physically limit the forward travel of your Glock's (or clone) trigger, Thus producing a somewhat improved trigger for an unbeatable price. Here is an example installed on a Stoeger STR-9. Trigger safety functionality is maintained

Prototype Hybrid Polymer/Aluminum AR Upper designed back in 2016 that never went into production
1713969776374.png

Comments from the creator

"I patented this design in 2016, but never posted online about it because I didn't think it fit the current era of guns. It was intended to be a low cost, over molded hybrid/nylon upper receiver. Since the project never went into production, I figured I would show you guys. The aluminum inner tube has all the critical features machined for an AR15 upper. The hammer slot, charging handle slot, mag well and ejection port are all easily milled out on a 4th axis or with some simple jigs you can do this on a 3 axis with no rotary. The recoil surface is the machined front lug that's press fit and spot welded to the inner body. The outer 3D printed shell is where the more novel design kicks in. You get the shell deflector, charging handle slot (which is typically broached and costly $$$) and you get the picatinny rails for basically free. You simply slide the 3D printed outer body over the back of the inner tube and you are complete. The lower receiver keeps the outer print fixed and the charging handle keeps everything aligned. You can epoxy the two pieces together for rigidity. This design lends itself to many blow back and roller delayed systems that use a cylindrical bolt."

On Why it never went into production

"2016 was a strange time in the industry, followed up by 2020. Innovation was not pursued as well as it could have been, because the major OEMs were mostly concerned with current production. It was all about "how can we make this faster, cheaper, and more quantity", so innovation on new designs took a back burner. If I ever get out of the industry and start my own firearms company, I will probably pursue a similar design with some major improvements that I've been thinking of over the years."

Patent page for the design

I have found some video footage of a very unique AR upper. It is either a modified MP5 Upper or a craft built AR Upper with the stylings of an MP5 Attached to an AR Lower, I am unable to find any imagery of it online

There is also footage of a similar looking gun feeding from Suomi M31 Magazines

What in the fuck is the point of that Mp5 AR thing? While it makes me want to projectile vomit I have both and kinda want to know what sins I can commit.
Pissing bullets! The video description says "FA w/ buffer, 9mm" so I'm thinking it's just a fun custom build. More comfy than an MP5 with the AR stock, less recoil than the 5.56 AR had.

The giggle is in the lower tho, so why not do a DOE style 9mm AR? Eh if it's a fun build I'm all for it. Just not 100% if there was a reason other than because I can. And that's a totally justified reason IMHO.
