Is that a LMT rear sight?

I am been trying to buy one and they still all sold out.
No.

It's a forged Colt A2 Carry handle that I cut down myself. Pretty much all I needed to do was put it in a vise and use a hacksaw, and then a bit of paint on the cut ends.

Basically the same thing.

Got my RedHawk back from Ruger today. I had shot the hell out of it and it started getting light strikes constantly. Their work invoice in the package said they had to replace the firing pin assembly, mainspring and pawl. works like a typewriter again.

theory? sig saur has been doing it for years. i don't see why it even needs to be tested in court, you can just buy a sig saur branded ak-74 stock with velcro on it

e: i'm only finding the sb tactical triangle brace but i swear that sig made one, that picture right there is a sig promo shot so im pretty sure they existed. they were all over the place when i was trying to buy one like 2 years ago
These things kinda suck. They're just flimsy enough rubber/plastic that you'll notice it while firing. Not comparable to a real solid triangle stock, only looks similar. A better example is the cncn warrior folding brace/stock:

Same metal construction as the stock, only slimmed down the buttpad and added a tiny velcro strap.

I got one of those PSA flash cans just to see whats up

If I remember I'll write up my thoughts. I reload so I'll try ever crazy load and surp and off shelf on it. I mentioned I'm on my LEE 6mm hunt, I have more than I need. I almost bought a KRISS 10mm just cause. I hate to admit been too long since I took a rifle out for practice. It's hunting season so, I need to use my bolts. I did have a very stressful day and camped out about 45 mins away, that was me getting drunk innawoods with an SKS (/k/ommandos never die we just get more autism).

I still want a PSA piston upper, not sure why I need it, but I do.

I think Ruger makes excellent revolvers. Yes, there are definitely better out there but in my experience that jump in quality level requires a huge jump in cost.

Thread bros: I'm trying to find a bolt action .308 with an 18" barrel, magazine fed, CRF, and Pic rails machined into the receiver. The closest I can get is a Ruger 6822, their Gunsite Scout Rifle. If it didn't have its Pic rail in such a silly spot I'd jump on it. The CZ 600 Alpha also is almost there, but it's not magazine fed and I don't want an aluminum action for this. If it's just not in the cards or I have to have it custom-made, fine, but maybe one of you knows something I don't.

How much are you willing to spend? I am feeling a mauser rebuild by a non retard. I think the gunsight might be your best option off books.

a touch of flour in a rifle case with a normal load will generate a big fireball without excessive pressure.

If I end up burning half PA down Imma ask you for bail money. I mean thanks for the idea.
a touch of flour in a rifle case with a normal load will generate a big fireball without excessive pressure. the professional method is 70% potassium perchlorate and 30% aluminum powder, however this requires sacrificing actual gun powder load significantly and needs a bit of air (do not compress).

When I burn down half of my state can I call you for bail? At least to say, was a hoot?

And that's the thing. I don't want to spend too much on it. I think you're probably right about this.

Edit: I went ahead and ordered the Ruger rifle. When it comes in and I get it setup/zeroed I'll post about it.

I know time, money, etc. But I think a mil surp gun rebuilt will suit you best and help keep sport alive. Now I gotta say a cheap weld job on something like FR8 is perfect. But A butchering a great rifle and need an optic.

Guns kick ass and it sucks we have a cash limit.

a sporterized Mauser action would probably be most cost efficient and have a wide array of parts for pillars and bedding, barrels, detachable magazine, and fitting a scope rail to the receiver. another option would be a Sako 85 or Ruger 77. you can also have something built professionally on an action by Zermatt, Kimber, Montana Rifle Co, American Rifle Co, et c.

i would also suggest a pre 2010 Savage rifle in one of their Winchester Short Magnum chamberings (.300 WSM uses the same bullets as .308 for example) but i'm guessing you want to stick to conventional .308 Winchester.

7mm PRC is a good round, i'm a fan of 7mm (and other .270 adjacent cartridges) for precision shooting (vs .300 PRC for bigger game and .300 Win Mag for general military use in LRPS). with 7mm PRC you can still get some real good 175 and 180gr pills flat and precise for plains game (any sort of elk, bison, buffalo, et c). a couple disadvantages are it is definitely not overly reloader friendly due to OAL and some actions not being brass friendly, additionally you can get extremely similar performance with more standardized loads in short actions, which some prefer. from some playing around, pushing A-Max out at 3100 f/s from a 21.5" barrel on a Remington Mountain LSS (barrel swap in my case, it was originally .300 RUM) was sort of the top end and honestly other than being lighter with more friendly recoil, it didn't do anything i couldn't already do with .300 RUM or 7mm-08 or some other stuff i got going on.

just my 2 cents, ARC makes fine rifles and if you don't already have a LRP rifle and don't plan on doing much reloading, it's pretty good.
