Alright lads, I made it out of a Firearms Direct Club transaction without losing money and have received my merchandise. A $170 solar Holosun 407 and $10 Glock Pmags is pretty badass, and I'm now happy to have a dot on my carry gun. I'll probably just make an account for every order and quickly cancel the subscription whenever I need shit, but this will likely be the new place where I get parts/accessories on the rare occasion I buy something.

Are there any air rifle shooters amongst the threads participants? An air rifle thread dealing with pump/springer/CO2/PCP air rifles would be quite informative for someone who wants to put game on the table in a societal collapse situation. Hyper velocity pellets suck, magnum springers suck until you learn the hold, heavier pellets/slugs give greater accuracy and penetration, magnum springers break scopes but a full auto Hatsan Blitz .30 is not considered a firearm and will put every slug out of 17 in a dime sized hole at 30 yards.
Airguns are just much more complicated and delicate and really not cut out for SHTF situations because of that, as just one little O-ring will fuck the entire gun. Price is also wack, and pellets/slugs are comparable or even triple .22lr prices for much less power. The only thing they have going for them is that you can legally silence them, but in an SHTF situation you can stuff a rag filled soda bottle or better device on your $150 .22 for a similarly quiet gun...... They're quite often very heavy and bulky compared to any real gun and are very complicated and intricate. Air source is also a huge issue as a hand pump is like 10+ pounds and pretty big, a compressor is loud, heavy, and expensive, and a tank/bottle is either big and heavy, costs money to fill, or doesn't hold many shots. I was into airguns for a long while, but .22lr is really a way better option for most things in just about every way. 500 rounds of .22 may weigh more than 500 pellets, but it doesn't require effort, an air source, the funds, and is more powerful than any airgun in .22.

What’s a good appendix carry position? I’m at 0 cant with the highest ride height. If I go any lower I start to pinch my gunt which is uncomfy. The barrel is hovering just above my dick. If a bullet goes off I will surely die, which is why I’m not putting one in the chamber just yet.

I see a lot of guys with the ride height super low which helps their conceal-ability. Ideally I’d like to go about mid height but my nexbelt is a painful piece of shit that pinches my fingers and I have a hard time getting a proper grip. Is the ordered blue alpha edc belt going to be any better or am I about to be thoroughly sub optimal.

I also can’t say this enough. Fuck nexbelt.

Funny story, I was selling some stuff at a shop, knowing that these guys sell to PD I started asking about what they were getting. He tells me that for some reason they got it in their head to buy staccato 2011. The 5k one's that they make for competition, but it turns out that that government employees don't take care of their equipment, so a a bunch of them had failures on duty. The whole department has shields 2.0s now.

Have you tried a wedge on your holster? What holster are you using? Are you running a light?

Hunter Constantine belt is by far the most comfortable belt I have used. The front portion is rigid for holding the gun. The back portion is elastic so that it isn’t uncomfortable to move while still having enough tension to keep your gun close to your body.

I tell fat guys to get the fat guy holster with the Tier 1 Concealed wide wedge pack. I have a slight beer gut myself but I can comfortably carry appendix with the Phlster skeleton for my 43x.

these were part of an aid package to ANSF, which was ANA+ANP unit after the invasion to handle police duties and general security. prior to this they had a lot of old Beretta and Soviet gear, as well as some Glocks and lend-lease stuff, old WW2 gear like Hi Powers, cold war stuff from central europe like Czech Republic or Hungarian body armor and rifles, et c. upper end people had stacks of MP5-PDW's and AKSU's or similar as part of a modernization effort years ago that never went anywhere. while working with my ANA counterparts, there was a lot of law enforcement re-training and indoctrination to break down tribal and familial affiliations and develop a more cultural and national esprit de corps and help unify things between otherwise disparate tribal/rural groups and the cities and help remove some pretty deep-seated divisions among the population.
That training program obviously failed.... Horribly

Well, looks like my debit card got yanked on Firearms Direct Club, buying merch from Null, or at a gas pump. Hard to tell which one, but make of that what you will.

Also, look at this fucking thing

I'm currently infatuated with s&w model 59 and it's younger brother's, but I'm debating between them and a CZ 75. Can anyone tell me how they compare or their experience with the 59's?
I like my 5946, despite being double action only.
Aim Surplus has some police trade-ins available, iirc, and Mec-Gar still makes magazines.

I think Smith finally dropped support for these, so pick up a sideplate now while you can, mine was actually broken right out of the box, an old "NIB" one that had never been fired at that.

Other than the lack of a rail as those were way before this pistols time, its been a reliable stainless brick with probably the best DA pull I've ever felt on a DAO pistol short of HK's light LEM. No "double strike" capability so I imagine works sort of like the Sig DAK and not HK's LEM.

I like my 5946 better than my CZ PO1, which is basically a CZ75 with a rail. The CZ is fairly accurate, but the finish is really shitty (an Eastern Euro gun staple, AK's from the proper place have a shitty finish, too.)

Both guns are accurate, but the CZ will be easier to get parts for, if and when you need them. The stock DA CZ trigger is long and shitty, which you can tune out a little bit with a lighter hammer spring, but the SA pull is quite nice.

I shoot both of them about the same.

I don't think that you're gonna find a CZ75 for $400 unless its seriously clapped-out, so the Smiths are going to be cheaper over all.

Good luck finding one in 10mm for less than a testicle tho, a Tanfo Witness in 10 would probably be better if you want to shoot it.

Suppressors and SBRs are overrated. The main appeal is the government not wanting you to have them.

I have several suppressors and a few SBRs, the only one I use anymore is my 9mm with a can because it’s still short and actually quiet. I have a .22 SBR with a can, but I don’t really use it.
Regular Rifle Caliber SBRs do suck ass. My 10 1/2 inch 5.56 is basically useless without a suppressor or gimmick linear compensator.

Suppressors are fun though. Subsonic ammunition + a suppressor will never not be cool as hell. Even on pistols.
Short rifles are obnoxious without a suppressor and still not hearing safe with one, and when you put a can on it becomes the same length as a full sized rifle. Rifle cans heat up very quickly, becoming a hazard, and causing mirage.
I’ve never understood this either. I can only assume the 10-12” rifle exists only to make vehicle entry and exit easier.

Subsonic .300 BLK is cool to shoot. I had the chance to shoot someone's suppressed 7" .300 BLK AR with 220gr subs and the sound of the bolt cycling was louder than the muzzle blast. It was impressively quiet.

help me out with MP5 optics fellas. the HK style irons are the greatest to have blessed my vision. i'm putting holes within holes with them, but i yearn for something illuminated. lightweight and magnified, even. i love their prisms but no way PA's SL3x has the eye relief for something like the HKParts raised mount. should i just go for broke, say fuck the iron sights and sell enough jenkem for an ACOG? maybe a mini? would the gun itself being made by MKE matter? should i shit myself and do nothing?
edit: maybe even put buffalo bore +P+ 147gr for coyote business?
ACOGs are antiquated technology at this point with little benefit. Basically a waste of money.
not exactly but i haven't had a hands on, eyes on experience with optics that work particularly well with astigmatism other than something like an EOTECH or PA prisms.
Try out a green dot sight. They work way better with astigmatism.

This speaks more to issues with fundamental skills. Your gun isn't going to just go off in the holster (well, unless you're one of those guys that carries a P320). If your gun goes off while you're carrying it, you done goofed. Look down at the holster, clear the way with your off-hand, watch the gun go into the holster. Build this routine and confidence will follow.

Carrying with an empty chamber can get you killed. Take the time to practice and train on your fundamentals. Train, train, train. If you think you've trained enough, shut up and train some more. Training's the duct tape of the firearms world.

I think this is very dependent on someone's astigmatism, because I tried a Holosun green pistol dot and it was no better than a red dot to my eyes. I have the starburst style astigmatism. Both red and green starburst for me.

Other than etched reticles, EOTechs look the best to my eyes.

Or just carry 1 to 5 o'clock like a normal human being.

Recently Sig inaugurated a new ammo plant at Arkansas, at the event commemorating it they had this display that shows two very interesting pieces of information.
-A US Unit or organization has in at least testing quanitities adopted the Sig LMG-762 (which is the 7.62 variant of the LMG-6.8 which the Army adopted as the XM250), AFTER the acceptance of the XM250
-The Jews in the zionist entity has also received the LMG-762 AND The MMG-338 in at least testing quantities

I vehemently disagree that the ACOG is antiquated and a waste of money. They have a lot of benefits that other optics don't offer, such as never needing batteries (unless you get the LED model) and their rugged construction. There was a Marine during the GWOT who took a 7.62x39mm round to his ACOG, blasting a sizable hole in the side, and it didn't even lose zero. He was able to stay in the fight and didn't even realize his optic had been shot until they had returned to base and he went to clean his rifle, which is when he saw the hole and realized what had happened. That optic was sent back to Trijicon who sent him a replacement and put the damaged optic in their Hall of Fame. I think they're a great option for anyone who wants a simple, rugged optic for a fighting carbine or PCC and doesn't want a red dot.
