Basically yeah. The Bayonet is especially fun to swing out, just that motion man, it's peak.

In any case, favorite M60?

Gotta pick the original for me even if something like the E4 is objectively better, like that long barrel and flash hider
For me personally the M60 from the 1950’s to me it’s the drip, I know it has its issues with feeding and being heavier than Chantel but I love the look and remember kids it’s doesn’t matter what you do as long as you look cool doing it

Has anybody like Kel-Tec ever invented a semi-auto 12 gauge with a quick-detach tube magazine?

I imagine that transporting spares would be cumbersome unless limited to 4-5 rounds of 2.75" shells, but I think something like that would be interesting.

Perhaps two side by side short magazines with an auto-switch toggle once one runs dry?

I know my views change on mood but lately with ARs my mood is 11" or 20" otherwise you're just missing out.
So yeah maybe building her some little thing could be fun. As now she still doesn't feel 100% confident with the MP 5 and her go to HD is my1 carbine. Not shocked she likes it. They are a hoot.

Actually she's going out tonight with her dad for some trap. (And not the kind we talk about on the lolcow boards).

Life's busy hope all's well to gun frenz.

IIRC there's a detachable rotating cylinder tube mag thing out there somewhere. Not sure it sold well considering I never see them.

You're looking for this.

Late, but yeah. Welcome to American gun laws, which are basically all fucking retarded. You can own a CAR-15 clone, but by the time you're done with the paperwork, might as well have bought a regular 16 inch AR, way less hassle. It's stupid, but is the way it is.

With the chinks, I wouldn't be surprised. They know how to imitate, not innovate

I mean, at this point, if one is going to go for a CAR-15/XM-177/GAU-5 style rifle it's because they appreciate the historical significance of the weapon and not because they're looking for a practical modern fighting weapon. So they will likely be willing to jump through the hoops and expense of putting something together that is as accurate as possible. I've always been partial to the Colt 607, which was the original M16 shorty with a collapsible stock and the beginning of the Colt CAR line of carbines/SMGs. The XM-177 was basically designed from feedback from SEALs and other sneaky types who used the 607 in Vietnam.

I mean true. Personally I'm a 20 inch M16A2 kind of guy from the clones I've held, I just like the classic look and the power from the 20 inch, but I see the merit for a shortie like a CAR-15, or in your case, a Colt 607.

The OG M60 will never go out of style in my heart

It's just so classic, so... future. And while it is heavy, it was lighter than the Browning 1919's that came before. In fact it's still lighter than the M240, it's replacement. It tried doing a lot of things at once, and succeeded at most of them arguably. Really it was after decades of abuse that the grumblings from troops start. When they were new in Vietnam, they were loved.

The next part of my kit I’ve decided on is 2 radios. What are $600-$1000 range radios that support 2-way with key encryption?

I'm retarded when it comes to radios and I blatantly stole this infographic from /k/, but maybe it will be helpful. That said, if you're new to radios, it's probably best to buy a couple Baofengs and a copy of The Guerrilla's Guide to the Baofeng Radio.
