Beautiful gun. The 590A1 is about 500 bucks more than the 590 retrograde. Do you think there's enough of an improvement between the models to warrant the price tag? It's not incredibly expensive either way I'm just curious.
I currently do not own either, but from what I understand, the 590A1 [KABLOOEY B$$MST1CK] can suffer a lot of abuse and is more fitted towards actual military/direct action applications. This means If you own guns for protecting your house or for sport, I would get the cheaper shotgun. However, if you are looking to have a shotgun that always works and has actual proof of service, the 590A1 is preferred.

Much appreciated!

I think I once read the A1 is more robust mainly because the Navy/Marines were tired of them getting crushed in heavy ship doors.

It's not that you can't put the light on and get custom holster, you just can't get a Safariland holster because no one is using that pistol for duty use anyway. It more of an issue with pistols that never gain traction as a popular duty pistol. Safariland wont spend the spend to get the holster molds made. I had kinda written off the USP, but now I am intrigued again because of the Grayguns trigger upgrades. Aftermarket for them is meh, and iron sight options are few, But they don't really need anything beyond trigger work and sights you can get along with. Not the most relevant handguns, but fine for carry or HD.

Anyone here have experience with .357 Sig(gers)? I have some 10mm short and weak (40 S&W) that I am considering converting so that they are a speedy 9mm instead of a 40 S&W. I know it's not a .357 Mag. View attachment 6746881
if you reload you might have problems with the necks crumpling. it's an issue endemic to bottle necked pistol cartridges. The brass is alot thinner (usually) than in a rifle's case neck.

But other than that all i can tell you is that its a good round that just could not compete against 9x19, .45ACP or .40 S&W. Logistics and availability conquers all i suppose. unless you handload. if the round had come out in the 60's or 70's it'd have been a runaway hit. likely taking the 9mm's place in the american duty gun world, IMO.

Well this is... Industrious.

Either one of them is pretty damn rugged. The A1 features a heavy barrel cause retards kept crushing the barrels in the heavy ship doors. Provided you aren't a retard and can avoid crushing the barrel like that, you'll be fine with either. Of note, I think the 590 Retrograde (which is what I have) can also have a bead front sight instead of a ghost ring. It's personal preference of course, but the bead is perfectly fine.

Some kind of weird French HK416 modification, forward charging obviously and those slots are non Mlok oh and the French might be doing rifle grenades again

The French doing rifle grenades again doesn't surprise me. They've had them for the FAMAS for ages. Changing that now would require rewriting doctrine.

EM-2 with bayonet fucks so hard
It is a shame it got cucked because it wasn't in 7.62 NATO. Such a shame.

o I came across this today, A Soviet soldier in Afghanistan with a double barrel smg.
A similar example (marked "Made in Czechoslovakia" so in actuality, the Khyber Pass) is apparently at the Military Historical Museum of Artillery, Engineers and Signal Corps in Saint Petersburg.

look at this dumb bullshit

The real question is will SCOTUS nuke AWBs from orbit before any of these are available to actually buy, because I really really want one and there's no piecemeal way around this unlike with AR-15s. Tula seems out of the question unless Trump undoes years of Russian firearm import bans, but the Viska is trying, question being will it come out during my lifetime.

Boden's new frens in Syria have endorsed full blown gun control lol.

Instead of buying night vision buy a 10,000 lumen light and some duct tape. Sure it may be a little heavy and very warm, but in a force on force scenario you have the ability to change night to day while your opponent seethes that their fancy city slicker tech has just blinded them resulting in a new night vision loot drop.

High speed cool guys harassing you in the dark with their "we own the night" bullshit? Learn one neat trick to turn their super power into a super disability! It's just a flare gun.
