Not an A1, that's an early production Colt 604. No forward assist and partial fence lower. Colt 604 was the Air Force version of the XM16E1 and early versions were partial fence with later versions being full fence. Although that flash hider looks like a birdcage, they must have swapped out the flash hider at some point.
Does the slide cycling not shred the web of your hand? I have moderately large hands and smaller guns tend to shred my right hand.
Yeah, that's what I'd figured, it's a shame the thing feels so good and looks sorta cool. The finish irl doesn't look that good tho, Glock and SIG have better looking metal parts in terms of color/whatever coatings they used. I bet the TTI is Cerakote, not really something I wanna see with nothing actually good under it.People have been running them pretty hard with some parts breakage across the board, I think the striker was the most common failure point. Otherwise they would be considered pretty good for Turkshit.
Literally just picked it up today and not had a chance to shoot it yet.Does the slide cycling not shred the web of your hand? I have moderately large hands and smaller guns tend to shred my right hand.
SCCY makes absolute garbage, I'd rather use my fists than one of their guns. You can buy a brand new LCP first gen for the same price and get an actually functional, reliable gun./K/ used to get stuff done, then they became gay and Ukrainian. Now they are dead. This was the last attempt at a low-cost gun info and recommendation list. I kind of want to fix this since the rifle section is sparse, and Biden fucked these prices in the ear.
Anyone want to pitch in with recommendations for online stores, Rifles under $500, AR and AK info, tips and tricks, etc.View attachment 7252405
Poorfag bolt action rifles are better and more ubiquitous than ever. When I look it up it says they're just down for maintenanceView attachment 7253321
It looks like Del-Ton is finished. I guess they couldn't compete with PSA and Anderson in the budget AR market.
It's been down since February and their customer service said they were no longer manufacturing AR parts. When I look it up it says they're just down for maintenance

Aren't C96s short-recoil? The Desert Eagle's gas system might work, or you could go more cursed and make it roller-delayed or flapper locked.
The Howa 1500 is pretty fucking legit, even if barreled actions are only ~$400-500. My .308 is maybe my favorite range toy at the moment.Poorfag bolt action rifles are better and more ubiquitous than ever. On a rough ranking of cheapest to most expensive off the top of my head, it goes:
Savage Axis, very rough around the edges and allegedly has problems with corrosion but it's extremely cheap and accurate
Ruger American, similar story but with a more standard trigger instead of Savage's weird bladed trigger some people don't like, offered in all sorts of configurations for whatever you want
Savage 110, incredibly accurate for the price point, one of the grittiest roughest actions on the market
Howa 1500, the Japanese competitor to the Remington 700 that's been chugging along all these years, full factory guns are pretty much what you'd expect, you can also buy barreled actions for cheap and drop them in an aftermarket stock
Bergara B14, uses Remington 700 stock and sight mounting patterns but it's an actual overall good rifle unlike modern Remington
I almost got baited into bitching about this infographic until I noticed the filename lmao/K/ used to get stuff done, then they became gay and Ukrainian. I'd be all for you making a newer version. I always loved all the infographics and other stuff on k before it went downhill./K/ used to get stuff done, then they became gay and Ukrainian. Winchester Model 70 runs a bit more than the Bergara depending on the SKU, but you get the best variant of the Mauser action ever (imo). if you jump for the super grade you get some nice wood too and nice blueing. after watching this, i sort of disagree with about half the "problems" he mentioned. at this price bracket, these are not "go-to-war" guns. they are sporter carbines that can do some limited ranch/home defense duty in a pinch. the magazine release being threaded an extra turn but otherwise functional is both easy to fix and not really a problem. likewise stiff takedown pins or a sticky mag catch on a new unfired rifle is kind of a meh issue. there is some legit concern with the receiver extension not fully turned to positively engage the buffer retaining pin and the lack of a castle nut staking is also a concern if the gun will see repeated duty use since i've had decades of experience of them eventually walking loose with carry wear. that being said a lot of the issues are "tighten" or "loosen" and aren't really issues for a sporter carbine.SOTAR just did his first run of the secret shoppers series on the entry Ruger AR15s and they only run $600ish but on average needed another 300 in parts plus the labor or tools to change those parts out (let alone the potential difficulty to diagnose problems as a complete noob) adds another 150 to 300 which about doubles the cost of the gun.
