I would think a 40mm grenades round specifically for drones would work well. Especially the machine gun cartridge, slap it on a small autonomous vehicle and boom mobile ciws for drones.

What sort of grenades are you thinking? My vision of mobile drone defense is two-tiered: the outer perimeter system finds drones large enough to have a radar signature and attacks them with proximity fuzed grenades. I read about this Northrop Grumman solution a while ago.
They have a microwave emitter that fries the internals of drones. Hook that up to a radar and you have a pennies per shot defense system that works great from all the stuff I've found about it. It's based off the old anti crowd system developed around 2000-2010 ish.
Call of Duty: Black Ops II really predicted a lot of this stuff. You can call in basically an AI guided FPV drone swarm to kill infantry, there's that microwave system (although it's used on infantry) and there's a mission where you can stop Iran from getting bombed or let it happen and they join some coalition. We're in the timeline of that latter half.
And the judicial system will side with the dems because "they didn't make all guns unavailable just those specific ones." And once they get that win they will use the same argument with anything semi auto. Trumps recent victory on different judges ruling on a thing then applying nation wide also knee caps us because it's how we got alot of the current wins (bump stocks and pistol braces.) Just put a rf proximity fuze in there like any other aa munition. The 40mm platform is small enough to be man portable, is already thoroughly fielded and with platforms like the Milkor revolver grenade launcher can give you a good rate of fire.

Sure, I've given thought to that too. A defense system that needs only electricity to function indefinitely would be an excellent solution. I see two issues - first, is it possible to focus the emitter beam? Or will it dissipate according to inverse-square law, possibly limiting effective range? Second, can a drone's internals be shielded against microwaves with a Faraday cage?
If you protect the drone's essentials with a Faraday cage, how would it get signals to function?
