To be honest, I really hate the EOTech but it 100% fits on the Vector and its what I'm going to use as well. I haven't decided what the base platform is going to be, whether I get the carbine version and wait to get the tax stamp when its free, or just go for the SBR first. I definitely want to get a can for it too.I need to buy a riser for the EOTech first
How cheap we talking? Are we talking ammo you bought from some vaguely brown guy that came loose in a plastic bag or are we talking name brand but still FMJ?but it was just cheap ball ammo
Yeah they're kinda expensive normally. I wonder if you can run them in a Glock or if the spring is going to be too strong and will mess with things. They advise to get a reloading tool. They're normally like $75 or something like that.
Hmmm... why?To be honest, I really hate the EOTech
This is currently my favorite barrel length for 5.56. Squeezes a little more velocity out of the round compared to 10.3/10.5", and heavier projectiles (69-77gr) still put a decent amount of ft-lbs of energy on a target out to 300 yards. Not too long with a typical ~6" can on the end of it.11.5"
For me personally part of getting into guns is having something that will retain some value so that liquidating a piece for cash is something entirely on the table. You won't believe how many gun store owners I've talked to who have had these poor Poverty State Armory owners come in to flip one of their broke ass builds only to be told that it in fact will not sell. People coming in with entire collections worth of PSA for consignment or sale typically end up leaving with the look of death on their faces because they realize they aren't getting shit back. I've sold some PSA AK stuff before getting maybe 64% of my money back but only because I strategically chose to buy guns from them that were not in current production by any other competitor. But yeah, ask me about their AKs in terms of quality, holy shit.i like psa stuff, never had any issues with the 3 or 4 i have, dont shoot enough rifle to really say though, but all i buy are the complete uppers, lowers i have always built myself.
Probably because poor.Hmmm... why?
I'm not an AK enjoyer, but I've seen a few videos by M26 Lemon Grenade on YT where he discussed the various problems that PSA AKs have. I avoid PSA in general, but I would absolutely avoid their AKs. Their piston JAKL rifle also has many issues. Any video I've seen from any guntuber who isn't a shill has mentioned problems with their JAKL, even if they still liked the rifle overall. But yeah, ask me about their AKs in terms of quality, holy shit.
Their problems along with the price makes picking one a poor decision. For the price of any of the so called AK-100 series PSA slop (which are copies of Bulgarian pattern SLR rifles) you could just pony up for a WBP jack for under a grand. There's no reason to take that kind of unnecessary risk on an American AK when it's a buyers market and all the end of the world panic buying shit is finally over. Even WASR prices are apparently starting to go down from $1000+ back down to the 800s. The market is healing, II'm not an AK enjoyer, but I've seen a few videos by M26 Lemon Grenade on YT where he discussed the various problems that PSA AKs have. I avoid PSA in general, but I would absolutely avoid their AKs. Their piston JAKL rifle also has many issues. I know details of their ammo manufacturing operation and unless things have changed in the past year they are running on borrowed time. I hate to be all trust me bro you will have to believe me on this.Come back and post this when PSA find's their torque wrench and we can nod in agreement. Until then, PSA is fucking based but you should show your support for them by buying their very good(!) ammo and not their very bad ARs.
This is a good point and not something i had thought about, selling guns feels like some sort of blasphemy to me the thought has never crossed my mind, i would probably become homeless and sleep under my gun safe if times where tough.something that will retain some value
this is pretty much where i am at, i just dont have time to go shoot, and when i do i just shoot handguns.Better that you go and shoot some cheap PSA rifle on the regular than be a hipster and never ever shoot your 5000 dollar LMT MWS build
I had a bear creek upper in 7.62x39. Was probably my second worst purchase and was almost completely uselessBEAR CREEK ARSENAL ON THE OTHER HAND CAN BURN IN HELL FOR SWINDELING AND THIEVERY.
BCM, SOLGW, and Geissele have good reputations. No one is exempt from QC issues sadly. What is the glock of rifles?
Is it a Colt LE6920?
I feel the paralysis of analysis with ARs specifically because there's just so many manufacturers, and because of that there's all sorts of splitting of hairs about it.
I don't have the means to go into this kind of detail. I don't know if my build is completely in spec or whatever, it feels unnerving compared to my pistols. How much does it cost for someone to do a proper QC anyway?
It's the "One is none, Two is one" phenomenon. Or they just hate money.I've never bought the whole PSA making rifles for people who can't afford an expensive rifle because everyone I've met or seen with a PSA rifle always has like fucking six of the things.
Exactly how my crew got started. Me handing out shitrods and never shutting the fuck up about it. Next thing you know are are holding events and running around larperating on 500acres of land.imho it would do more good to put that in the hands of a good friend and get a group together with stuff that works
