On Wiki:
The Savage Model 1907 is a semi-automatic pocket pistol produced by the Savage Arms, from 1907 until 1920. It was chambered in .32 ACP and, from 1913 until 1920, in .380 ACP. Although smaller in size, it is derived from the .45 semi-automatic pistol Savage submitted to the 1906-1911 US Army trials to choose a new semi-automatic sidearm. After several years of testing the Savage pistol was one of two finalists but ultimately lost to the Colt entry, which became famous as the Colt Model 1911. A total of 181 of these .45 ACP pistols were returned to Savage after the testing and sold on the civilian market.

Emphasis mine, because this is not something I expected to see on gunbroker.com.

It says something that I didn't even know this before reading your post. I just assumed it was the usual every-handgun-is-a-Glock media thing.
Honestly there was a lot of retardation around what he used in the first few days and then I think the subject got dropped entirely once the actual weapon was released, if you weren't following obsessively it was a super easy detail to miss or be misinformed on. If you're an internet/armchair expert it was pretty easy to tell from the video that he was just using an unboosted suppressor on a semi-auto pistol that was causing failures to eject/feed

I think both the retardation and immediately dropping the subject were both to discourage copycats in the immediate aftermath. For the first few days the 'experts' on tv and I think even the actual law enforcement trying to catch him were saying it was a VP9 or Station Six, VP9s run about $5000 and a Station Six is about half that, both prohibitively expensive even before all the fingerprinting and background checks they require to buy

The fact it was something you could build for $2-300 in used/off the shelf parts (that don't require a background check) with a couple-hundred dollar 3D printer and a few dollars worth of filament was probably infinitely more terrifying to the establishment and there's no way to meaningfully crack down on it

For anyone who hasn't seen it Brandon Herrera went over it, all the way down to printing the same frame and a similar suppressor (he recorded the video before a picture of the suppressor was available but they're functionally interchangeable), when he went to recreate the shooting his functioned more or less identically to Luigi's, failures and all

Tell Sweaty Bill you rather buy a good gun.

Actually, aside price they are good. I'm local I've been blessed enough to wander their shop. Triji or bust. Also I just think they overcharge.

It's got the fancy pants trigger outta box. Did you get one of the SBR layouts?

So no good on the Tok... and I wanted one of those cheap Tissa 1911s on sale but restrained myself. Now I see a sale on Kel Tecs 5.7 part of me says chug booze and order it and reloading gear.

I was shocked I found 5.45 at my local wally world bought it all (only 300 rounds but still).

I've got a 3x Compact ACOG on my AUG A3. Really like them a lot. I love how rugged they are (there are ACOGs that have been hit by rounds in combat and continued to put accurate hits on target), and that you don't have to worry about batteries. The thing that sucks about them is the tritium dying out after 15-20 years, sometimes sooner. However, they do also offer LED models that run on batteries now while maintaining that same rugged reliability. I'm also partial to BDC reticles.

But there are also highly rugged red dot optics now. Some of them, like some EOTech models, now have BDC reticles if that's something you want.

There's also the Elcan Spectre which is an awesome optic, if heavy and expensive.

the RXM is not just a glock clone, it's a GOOD striker fired 9mm that happens to be compatible with a LOT of Glock parts. If I didn't have a Dagger, I'd get one.
Feel it would be a good house gun or something under heavier clothing. Already got CC covered with my J frame. The Ruger RXM would be perfect for me for a bump in the night gat.

That, or the $300 1911's I've been seeing. I actually already got Wilson Combat 8 rounders and 45ACP Speer gold dots for a 1911 I never got. Might just finish that side project first before investing in new mags and ammo and shit for a different gun.

After giving it some thought I think I'm going to hold off on an AR. I'm already invested in the AK platform, piss with the dick you've got etc etc.

However I am curious about pistol caliber carbines. 9mm is absurdly cheap compared to rifle rounds so range trips would be more affordable and I'd be able to go more often. Plus it seems just as good as a bump-in-the-night gun (until some sperg comes in and pitches the idea of someone wearing a fucking plate carrier and a helmet breaking into my house).

Has anyone owned or tried out the Extar EP9? It's a bit goofy looking but it seems to get good reviews and $500ish for a solid PCC sounds like it would be a steal. It obviously doesn't have the 'cool factor' as something old-school like the MP5 or modern like the Kuna, but it seems like a perfectly solid shooter and doesn't have a four-figure price tag.

IMHO the best "cheap" PCC options right now, especially if you're wanting it for anything more serious than a range toy, are the CZ Scorpion EVO and the Springfield Armory Kuna. The Kuna especially is a really nice option as they are roller delayed, compact, lightweight, and have reliable magazines with steel feed lips while also being affordable. The Kuna came out around the same time as I bought my Vector, and I almost went with it. I've been hearing really great stuff about them ever since hitting the market.

Since you are staying with AK, why not get an AK shaped PCC?

I love my SBR'd NAK9, I do like the look of the 9S a bit more because it takes scorpion mags but glock mags are cheaper. You can also get a WASR-M if you want a full rifle.

That sounds cool in theory but I would like something that can take Glock mags and I'm not sure if this combo exists.
Why does it matter if it takes Glock mags? Owning a few PCC specific mags isn’t the end of the world.

I own a Glock and a bunch of mags, but my PCC doesn’t use them. In my experience putting Glock mags in a PCC is a cludge. I’d rather have a double stack double feed mag design.

Save money and get an MKE AP5, Turkish produced mp5. I know it's a meme answer, but they I have fallen in love with the platform to the point of evangelism
Made on same tooling, same metallurgy as its teutonic counterpart. Get the short K model.
You should be able to get used about $950.
I got the full size mp5 clone for $850 this year on texasguntrader.com, and a K with good accessories for 1200

I guess it doesn't matter THAT much, I just like having parts and ammo that work on multiple guns. Especially if I'm not buying something super common because I worry about future parts availability.

This has my interest. Even though using parts or a platform I already own would be nice MP5s are so fucking cool and I'd possibly be willing to take a chance on this, especially if these turkshit versions take regular MP5 parts.

Any PCC that isn't a mp5 is gay and retarded.
