Its a cool firearm that they don't make anymore that will never get any cheaper. Maybe this is just my own personal philosophy when it comes to firearms but I think its always better to hang onto them and let family inherit it than selling it.
What are you smoking? Beretta still makes regular 92FS models and they still sell for $700 every day of the week. They don't show any sign of completely discontinuing them any time soon.
See I'd hold onto an Italian-made 92FS since Beretta is leaning more heavily on Beretta USA for pistols and there's a lot of posts of caked-on finishes and uneven optics cuts.
I have a cobray MAC11 that is very dependent on magazine or it wont feed/stovepipe. I bought mine years ago for around $500 and I'd say it was worth it. I can't speak on the masterpiece arms MACs though but for $680 it might be good, they have a 5.7 version too
For an UZI you don't have many options besides doing a kit build yourself or paying 2k for a ban era Norinco or whatever. With the MAC 10/11 you have a few more options at a much lower price point. Masterpiece arms currently sells a couple different models. All of them have 1913 rails and polymer lowers, some of which are Glock mag compatible. You can find them in pawn shops for $300 ish or $600 MRSP online. If the polymer lower is bothersome you can swap it out for a Velocity systems (VMAC) lower provided you know how to weld. It will look more correct with the metal side plates and it allows you to use sten mags as opposed to the promag style.
Getting this thing in action would probably take just as long or longer than off body carry.
Practically? No. As a toy? Do with your money as you wish. I'd keep my ear to the ground regarding any FRT developments. They make them for everything these days.

S&W autos are usually pretty good options. too many sleep on the SD pistols, and while it earned a lawsuit, they weren't bad guns really. the older all-metal semi-autos are very nice, and the later M&P autos are also very nice.
its pretty clearly a colt SAA style action. The ribbed barrel is a copy of the S&W top breaks.
To be fair, them not being bad guns is why they earned a lawsuit. S&W couldn't figure out their own legally distinct Glock knockoff so they just copied it. Some parts will even interchange.
