I'm not sure what the point is. The Metal series has already existed for at least two years with aluminum frames and Performance Center models. Will there really be enough difference between the two to justify buying another pistol?
They're following the Sig model of shitting out 9 million SKU's for the same fucking product.

More weight and a new SKU to sell 😌

If it sells, it sells

I can understand the metal M&Ps as it gets you close to the old 5906 series weight wise and some just love metal pistols.

The steel frame is 100% for USPSA gamers though

It’s interesting how the “carry optics division” has been taken over by steel framed guns that the majority of participants aren’t actually carrying.

They probably should address that in the rules.

I wish action pistol wasn't such a time commitment (at least in my neck of the woods), its an insanely fun time, only time I've been able to recapture the feeling of a clutch play in counter strike from 16 years old. Shot a Glock 17 with irons in production class for a bit even though I carry something with a dot lol.

I thought this was a shitpost from KAK but this is an actual real product they're apparently offering for sale on their website and photos of it exist out in the world.

The Maxim we got at home looks amazing. That with an FRT and a Toyota Hilux and you'd be ready to form your own terrorist cell!

5k is not as bad as I expected, but it's out of stock... I want it really badly.

Incoming massive PSA video post

Jakl 2.0 seems semi DoA.... They realized ain't no one paying for a bespoke rifle by PSA (at least one that's $1200+ and only takes AR grips and trigger)

It seems they'll be updating the 1.0 with a lighter handguard and some other goodies "eventually" and the JAKL 2.0 will morph into something else.

The PSA .50 cal is DEAD. NO SHIIIIITTT they couldn't make it work profitably

Sabre 2011.... Oh God they think they'll be able to take on SIG, Kimber, Romulus, Apollo arms, and Platypus in the sub $2k 2011 space.... Yeah not with their current QC

PSA shotguns.... Uh the 570 is... Kinda interesting but the Maverick 88 and Mossberg 500 exists as do Turkish clones of the 870

As for the semi auto, sorry PSA, Mossberg 590, anything Beretta and Benelli sell (plus their Turkish clones) and the good old Auto 5 all exist.... You're not gonna have a good time in this market segment

Modularity is cool buuuttt.... Yeah 🙃 most people won't be swapping between a pump and a semi in the same gun

And lastly the Sabre bolt action.... Oh my ANOTHER R700 footprint rifle in a semi skeleton chassis.... Sorry the Howa 1500 and Bergara B-14 exist PSA. Oh and the Ruger American Mk1A (getting renamed) and the Mk2 (current model)

Now they haven't said anything about the X 5.7.... maybe it launches next week?

You are good.

ONLY other one you could maybe justify is either an AR9 or Stribog Gen 3 for the different magazines wells.

I quite like it. When I’m forced to travel to the nog infested mega city of my state it sits in a backpack in the passenger side. The SB Tactical HKPDW is worth every penny as is the Midwest Industries rail.

I'm really happy with my Gen 3 Vector so far. I had two or three feeding issues the first time I took it to the range and shot it out of the box, but since then it has run reliably with both the 40rnd extended GLOCK magazines, and a factory GLOCK 33rnd magazine.

Interesting that nothing was said about the AAC powder shortage. My guess is the powder is available it’s just expensive and would kill their margins.

The tell on powder shortages is always the reloading market. It’s the last place to restock as the powder sold to consumers is held to tighter tolerances and the volume is in the commercial loading operations. Everywhere I look there are shelves full of powder and ammo. The materials are available but the ammo market is down so bad that they can’t afford to sell it for what it cost them to make.

I also have it on god authority that the QC mindset from PSA was prevalent at AAC.

Edit: was going to fix the spelling mistake in the last sentence but it works better this way.
