Third holes are overrated all I need is an SKS gummed up with cosmoline.I have no idea what you’re talking about.
Anyway we need to ban the barrel shrouds that flip up in the back

I still dont understand how they havent issued short barreled double/triple barreled shotguns in masse yet.
Useless against drones that drop grenades because they fly too high and borderline useless against kamikaze drones because they catch them by surprise.I still dont understand how they havent issued short barreled double/triple barreled shotguns in masse yet.
Back when the US was using .45-70 they’d issue issue birdshot rounds for small game hunting. Funny to think we’re getting back to that point.
Im sure the god knows how many soldiers annihilated by drones waltzing up to them at a few mph would disagree.Because such a piece of kit is essential useless for combat.*

No it would not counter every fpv drone threat, but it would get the individual something to defend themselves in many situations for the cost of almost nothing in the grand scheme of things.
Where did I say you need to give them a combat load of shells?Realistically, how many 12GA shells do you believe you can put on a rifleman? Now - does he room for anything else besides maybe a handgun and a spare mag?
Pretty decent improvement over the factory 10/22 trigger. Breaks around 3# or so with only a tiny bit of creep after you take up the slack. At the price point and for how easy it is to drop in, it's a no-brainer upgrade.Anyone have experience with a BX trigger for the 10/22? Saw a good deal on a Hammerli B1 and they're compatible with 10/22 triggers.

Don't forget they also issued .45 ACP birdshot in WW2.Back when the US was using .45-70 they’d issue issue birdshot rounds for small game hunting. Funny to think we’re getting back to that point.

It already existed with an integral suppressor, the new version adds a couple features from the newer sub2000 models.Just had this advertised at me, didn’t see any posts here about it, so may I introduced to everyone the KelTec SUB QCB. A factory made integrally suppressed SUB-2000.

Now the Sub-2000 is the only factory new gun I have fired that I was worried was going to blow up in my face, so there’s no way I can see this being anything but awful.
The integrally suppressed version apparently has a more robust (i.e. not as sketchy) way that it locks after you unfold it.Now the Sub-2000 is the only factory new gun I have fired that I was worried was going to blow up in my face, so there’s no way I can see this being anything but awful.
I would be very concerned with velocity without even touching on pellet size or effect of shot through a rifled barrel, for example the Taurus Judge with its rifled barrel and .410 chambering sucks for anything beyond 7 feet. If you get into a purpose made compact shotgun(The original Taurus 28 gauge revolver for example) you still run into velocity issues. It's easier keeping a full-sized shotgun nearby or having a designated propeller-popper that actively uses one.Don't forget they also issued .45 ACP birdshot in WW2.

Now tests of that vs drones would be mighty interesting. Dual purpose handguns seem a better idea to me than some of the wacky shotgun attachments out there, but then you're issuing handguns to troops that are also not that useful and might also be worse against drones. Still something worth testing I think. Might be ideal to go back to the big bore handgun rather than 9mm even given the case capacity advantages for anti drone shotshells, which would cause a whole new round of autistic caliber wars.
Extra bulk, extra kit, 90% or more of the grunts issued them will probably not be able to use them effectively and won't have the rounds or drones to practice with, and effective shooting with shotguns short enough to be remotely practical for this kind of issuing strategy is a bit of skill in and of itself. Also consider the most effective counter, which is just to not hover around taunting the targets at all, the primary situation where the average grunt would have the time and awareness to actually get some shots off.I still dont understand how they havent issued short barreled double/triple barreled shotguns in masse yet.
Thanks for the tip seems like a no brainer now seeing as them Hammerli's have a pull of over 5 pounds, really looking forward to getting it seeing as they have swappable barrels and you can go from 22 long to 22 mag which is what I'm getting to a 17 hmr.Pretty decent improvement over the factory 10/22 trigger. Dropped one in my red dot-equipped takedown and that thing is consistently everyone's favorite thing to shoot when it's just me and my friends plinking.
