Mega Rad Gun Thread

This is activating my AUGtism

I will probably get a NATO A3 this year.... Instead of a wood stocked AK.

Good call, although I've always felt the AUG magazine are the best 5.56x45mm ever designed. But they are more expensive and more of a challenge to find than STANAG/AR mags. I think the AUG is an outstanding urban/CQB rifle. It's one of the few 5.56mm rifles that I genuinely love.

I've had a lot of experience with AKs. They're not my favorite. Galils are fine and I'd happily own one. Valmets as well. But for the most part, unless you're wanting one for historical/collector reasons because your "social" rifle needs are covered, you can do so much better than an AK.

Going with an assembled BCM upper. 16 in Qaud mid length.

Ended up going with KAK for the upper as well cause had more options and was cheaper while still not being garbage

I already have a PSAK-103 for my meme AK. Had a WASR-10 I got for ~$600 years ago. I still want a real deal Eastern bloc AK but anything beyond a WASR or WBP Jack is a no go for me.

Maybe I'll get an AK built eventually out of polish or Romanian parts or even just a barreled receiver.

ARs... I have two (one hand made and one that's a A2 clone) and two more lowers free that need to be finished .... Eventually. I might get a G$ upper in DDC but after that.... Nothing else.

Saw Aimpoint USA publish this photo of a Ruger PC carbine. I'm not sure if this is sexy as fuck, or cursed as fuck. Modernized Suomi M31/PPSh vibes.
Wood, steel, and a lot of fun. __Featured optics- Micro® H-2™ _link in the bio.__Build List-_Rif.jpg

Can someone ID this gun? It can be seen in the movie Wild Team (1985), which was shot in Dominicana, Italy, Spain and USA (if that helps).

Its a Jager AP74, a blowback .32 in an m16ish shell, you can see the smaller .32 magazine poking out the bottom of the dummy m16 mag.

The more normal M16 lookalikes were used as stand ins for actual M16s in a lot of low budget and euro movies, such as Dawn of the Dead. The only other movie I know that uses this specific model is the '87 Man on Fire, its only seen in the background though .

IMFDB is the best site to find out what a gun in a movie is. I've yet to have it fail me.

I realize only 1,200 were made, but lord almighty that's a pile of cash for a trooper in a python body kit.

you could save yourself 24,000 dollars and buy a 2nd gen Python.... Which is a Trooper in a python body kit.
