I hope Neon's just plain out wrong with her assumptions, because nothing actually shown in the comic supports her theories in my eyes. It is all autistic makebelieve in her head.
If it turns out that Cozmo is evil, it is most likely a plan that PK inserted after everything she established beforehand.

I also thought that Neon is meant to be smart. But, I guess we can only wait out and see what is true.
Is Cozmo now evil, or is Neon just stupid and wrong?
Find out, next year in floraverse, once this plot is dropped like a hot potato before it is resolved.

Words words words and more words. Where's all that "show, don't tell"?

There's so many things about the current story bothering me right now. There's been zero foreshadowing for this "Cosmo's been playing me" revelation. Not the slightest hint that he had any sort of malicious motive aside from the fact that he mentions coming across a building he couldn't dream walk into. He got access to that building when Neon hired him, right? So what would he even want?

With the newest pages of Neon putting together the pieces and declaring Cosmo as a threat feels like it comes out of nowhere. It seems like it's supposed to be Neon having some sort of mental breakdown from the stress of the dangers she's run into while trying to rescue Cosmo and, because of fear, blaming him and making up a reason to call off the search attempt. However, it's not conveyed in a readable way. With no facial expressions it's impossible to read her face to see how she really feels and with the over-relaxed body posture that PK draws Neon with all the time it just looks like she's brooding.

On the other hand if Cosmo is actually some kind of threat, the readers have been given absolutely no hint as to why. He even went through the trouble of blocking sensitive information about the forest hospice from Neon to protect the privacy of the people living out the last of their days. So it's really hard to see how he's suddenly a bad guy.

Everything is presented so vaguely in this comic it's hard to figure out what's even trying to be conveyed. The story is so muted that the characters literally have to spell out what's going on to reveal any sort of attempt at plot. And PK seems proud about it, boasting about how her story is a big puzzle when really it's just an unplanned mess.

The mask was a bad choice in the first place. PK isn't good at making her characters emote even when we can see their expressions.

a giant spread is always nice, and this is really well done. it gives you the sense of 'oh fuck' that something ominous is going to happen in the next couple of pages.
