I have reasons for not believing her personally just based on the conversations I've had with her about the matter. She's also a notoriously unreliable narrator and liar, she never expressed disgust towards CSA until SHE was the victim in her mind. Her lack of remorse overall should be enough of an indication to doubt her.

Always figured her lack of remorse was just because she's a narcissist. Or a sociopath. Whether or not she's lying (which she may well be?) I still think she's just one of those people for whom guilt is physically impossible.

I can accept for some CSA survivors, drawing this subject could be a [probably not very healthy] coping method. I've heard of rape survivors that do rape roleplay sex, so it's not that surprising.

I doubt Glip understands what coping art is. Normally you do it in therapy to process a traumatic experience so you can heal and move on. Hell, most of Tumblr doesn't understand and just use it as an excuse to tell anti-shippers to stop bashing their problematic ships. That's probably where they got it from.

This is just talking characters: at best a character who'd say that there is fucked up mentally and ambiguous like a GRRM character. Most any other explanation paints them as outright malicious. As far as the real PK goes I guess it's just like the CWC effect where you can clearly see their warped perception in the character because she thinks that isn't literally evil.

Also re: Eevee's justification for not consulting them. I know you guys won't like this because this is an echo chamber at it's core but I kind of see his logic. He does probably feel lost about it. Judging by how PK's taught him to think and do at least a little better than he used to, it's kind of sad because PK herself is a broken narcissist and if Eevee had a better influence than her since way back when he may really have became a way better dude. I myself was a CSA victim, and was still in the process of getting over that. I was a sheltered internet child, around 15 at the time, and one of the only things I followed on the internet was PMD-E. So when my favorite artist starts parading around this art of something that happened to me, I started having second guesses as to if what I went through was really so bad. Especially since Rhodes was my favorite character, I related to him a bit. If Rhodes likes it and PK thinks it's OK, maybe it is. It must be okay if my internet idol thinks it's hot, right? Maybe it was hot and I shouldn't be condemning my abuser for grooming me at 12. It took years to unlearn that and stop thinking that way, and I attribute that in part to PK's normalization of children and adults fucking. God, just typing this made me mad. Fuck Glip.

While I can almost see what Eevee is trying (and failing) to explain, I seem to remember an earlier log in the thread mentioned Marl's father was a cop. I imagine them trying anything against Marl would result in all three crashing and burning.

Tbh I disagree. I mean yeah, she literally pressed buttons. But I consider it a dehumanization method by stripping her of her identity. Like calling store employees "the help". Same way he boils down what Marl did as "sliding into her dms" . Instead of saying "a child" or her name, he's calling her something that's difficult to put a real identity to. It's a subtle wording choice to make what happened not to seem as bad.

I admire your optimism, but Eevee really isn't that good of a dude. People who've interacted with him outside of PMD-E and Floraverse can attest that he's always had narcissist tendencies. His MO was constantly starting shit with people so he could validate his status as the "master debater" of whatever community he was in, whether it was Pokemon, Doom, or anything else. The fact he's with PK is no coincidence - he used to love that PK was a personality-disordered wreck who couldn't stop attacking people, because that gave him a constant cause to rally behind, as well as a constant supply of young teenagers that he could easily feel smarter than.

I don't believe Eevee ever considered calling the police in good faith. His reasoning seems semi-plausible out of context, but "we don't want to be entangled in this for years" is (a) the exact same reasoning that people have used to justify bigfluff not pressing charges, and (b) clearly contradicts their established willingness to drag other shit out for years. He wants to be right and make the other person feel like the bad guy for questioning him.
