I admire your optimism, but Eevee really isn't that good of a dude. People who've interacted with him outside of PMD-E and Floraverse can attest that he's always had narcissist tendencies. His MO was constantly starting shit with people so he could validate his status as the "master debater" of whatever community he was in, whether it was Pokemon, Doom, or anything else. The fact he's with PK is no coincidence - he used to love that PK was a personality-disordered wreck who couldn't stop attacking people, because that gave him a constant cause to rally behind, as well as a constant supply of young teenagers that he could easily feel smarter than.

I don't believe Eevee ever considered calling the police in good faith. His reasoning seems semi-plausible out of context, but "we don't want to be entangled in this for years" is (a) the exact same reasoning that people have used to justify bigfluff not pressing charges, and (b) clearly contradicts their established willingness to drag other shit out for years. He wants to be right and make the other person feel like the bad guy for questioning him.

You say 'optimistic.' But I knew the guy a decade or two ago and it's just my own opinion, shitty as anyone else's ass. I think he was clueless, his narcissism stems from being socially incapable and proud of his flat IQ. He's mentioned his own shortcomings in this way numerous times whenever PK dunks on him. I don't think he'd have been the best guy ever and he did tons of things before getting with PK that'd send most souls to hell, I just think he would've imitated whoever gave him purpose like he did with her and he'd have been at least a little better. Small bar to pass, I know

I think that's why he's so thankful because as far as he knows she's the only real connection he's had and thinks that she's a better representation of them than what other people are saying they're meant to be. If you think of it from his view she's the only one giving him a chance and trusting him while the rest of the world around them burns, doesn't his loyalty at least make sense?

Food for thought: where I think it's most tragic isn't that he could've been better. Sure that sucks but. It's that the reason he's loyal is that he thinks she sees him as a good person and cares for his well being. In reality she only likes him because he's useful and kisses up, any empathy she expresses is like when an important tool of yours is damaged. As awful as Marl was for example you'd expect her to at least feel a bit of empathy for him after all that time, right?

Your son turning out to be a murderer isn't as simple as condemning. You are drowned in conflicting emotions and sadness. Maybe some anger or even self loathing. But that's not her and the lights just aren't on up there. Now picture that you're as emotionally inept as Eevee and you didn't trust yourself with people skills before meeting her like he's said he didn't. It starts to scarily make sense as to why he let so many signs she's a monster pass under his nose as just stuff a normal person does

So what I am saying is the meaning he gives their love is a massive lie and I honestly wonder what'd happen if something went down that made him realise it. How would he handle that?

i'm just popping in here to be completely transparent about things, since i saw someone mention a page or so back that eevee didn't actually reach out to victims

i had a thread on twitter a while ago about how marl sexually harassed me in the floraverse IRC when i was 18-19, and how glip and eevee's treatment of lain led to me cutting ties with them altogether instead of telling them what he did. i'm the person eevee was talking about when she said she saw a thread going around from someone else who was hurt by marl, but she was blocked so she couldn't personally reach out.

she did send someone to message me

this was a pretty big red flag because "they only dismiss people who are lying?" being afraid of what they would do to me if they thought i was lying was the whole reason i never came forward in the first place, and part of the reason why i locked my twitter account after that thread got more retweets than i was comfortable with. i don't have logs. i never thought to screenshot any of the things marl said to me, i was far more concerned with just getting away from him. if they wanted to tell their thousands of followers i was lying about it to ruin their lives, it's their word against mine.

i've received several messages from people who are still floraverse fans telling me that they were also harassed by marl, but after bigfluff's logs came out they told glip and eevee about it and received nothing but support from them, so that means glip and eevee are totally great and i should talk to them. but that's just proof of the problem to me.

glip and eevee have devoted so much time and effort over the years to calling all of marl's victims liars that a great number of people who still admire them and consider them friends were afraid to tell them about what marl was doing. it should be gravely concerning to glip that their actions led to this many of their friends staying completely silent about the harassment and abuse they faced from their own husband. but they can't apologize for it without saying "but i was marl's victim too!" i don't doubt that they were. marl is an awful person, and i don't think he'd make an exception to that for his wife. but if they can't apologize for the harm they've enabled without trying to gain sympathy for themselves, no matter how unintentional that enabling may have been, that apology will always ring hollow.

I've noticed PK goes through certain phases where she focuses on a specific characteristic (or character) and uses them as her handle, avatar, or self-insert. Not surprising, as others do this, but she kinda makes it like an entire personality or something.

Thanks for the kind words (and the rest of you for the feels ratings). This was my first time discussing it anywhere, so thanks for letting me get that off my chest. I'm in a better spot now, it just took me a while to get there. Who knows if Glip even stopped to consider people like me when they posted all those things without warnings.

I love the MOMENT the guy backs Eevee into a corner with logic and reasoning he immediately reaches for any excuse or to throw someone else under the bus. So, let's just say somehow Eevee and PK were innocent in all this, they knowingly are letting a child grooming, dog fucker, and creep get away with so much abuse to themselves, others, and potential future victims and in good conscious are just shrugging and saying "well nothing we can do!!!"

I wasn't super personally involved in the PMDE group when I was younger since, at the time, PK said my art was too shitty to be included. Granted I was 11 at the time so I suppose I don't blame her.
But I did interact with a lot of people who were in the group and they would tell me all the same things that people have been saying over the years.

That Marl would say disgusting things to minors, that Eevee would talk to mostly the youngest in the group and PK would draw all the NSFW they would share.
This was so long ago, around the time they got married I believe, so I don't have access to the irc chats or MSN messenger anymore, but at the time I wasn't really sure what to make of it since I was still a child. So take this information as you wish.

I honestly pity PK and Eevee if they thought what they were doing was okay, but being adults they should have known better.

Also, I have some of PK's Heart Gold nuzlocke saved on an old laptop. Looking back on it there was a lot of strange things in it and loads of abuse towards her pokemon characters, so much so that I don't know if it was meant to be funny to her or not.

I know someone who Glip accused of lying. To see this person casually say "the only people they dismiss are people who are lying, I promise" without even thinking about how awful that sounds, is terrifying.

It seems Eevee and Glip are cherrypicking who they are nice to, which is what they have always done. They may also want to see what information they can gather from other victims in case anything else comes to light, so they can prepare for it.

There were a few people that she contacted who she really didn't like their art and asked them not to participate iirc. It wasn't many, but mostly those who didn't have even a basic tablet at the time. It could just as easily have been her way of excluding people she didn't like for other reasons tbh. Such as finding them to be annoying.

I can definitely take a look but that was so long ago I'm not sure I still have that DA account anymore .
All I can recall from it was her saying something along the lines of, if you cannot improve or keep up with the deadlines you can't be expected to stay and participate.
This was before that time where they extended deadlines without telling the whole group. I believe that was mentioned previously in the thread.

Personally I don't really care, it didn't stop me from drawing. I do believe there were a few people who voluntarily stopped taking part much later after similar talks with PK but I cannot guarantee that was the case.
