Or how dare Nintendo parade Zero Suit Samus around in Smash Bros. with jet heels.......in a game where nothing is canon, a game that just exists so that the Nintendo all-star lineup can beat each other to death with baseball bats and lightsabers.

Reminder, Sakamoto was always jealous of Texas barbarians making better Metroid games than him, and tried to declare the Prime Trilogy (some of the best selling and most popular Metroid games) non-canon back in the day.

Samus rips Ridley a new asshole afterwards, so that "panic attack" episode really didn't bother me; it was how it was presented that felt a little wonky, but the fact that Samus just gets back up to kicking ass made it not worth complaining about.

Agree with you on the authorization bit. It would've been far better if she got hit with something and her suit goes haywire, but then Adam and the others tell her that there's prototypes for her suit in the Bottle Ship (I can imagine they were studying her suit, too) so she can go get those.

Does that really even matter? The Prime games are still far more popular, to the point where a fourth one IS on the works. At least, officially. It's like when Disney declared the Expanded Universe Star Wars non-canon. Sure, some fans were mad, but those of us who were mature enough just laughed at it, still considered the EU to be the true canon, and laughed as Disney's new Star Wars canon made one flop after another before Jon Favreau and Tony Gilroy stabilized it with shows like The Mandalorian and Andor.

They're probably still working on thinking about what would make Prime 4 work. I mean, it is the most well-acclaimed Metroid series. They sure as hell don't want to screw that up.

My point exactly. Samus is usually on her own when she undresses; that, and it's not as much sexualization as her just having a moment to herself, kind of like how someone during the COVID-19 Pandemic would remove their mask when no one is around.

Reminder that in real life, wearing an armor suit for hours on end is cumbersome and not necessarily comfortable.
