Regardless I find it hard to believe that a woman as petite as Samus could somehow weigh 200lbs when she looks like she only weighs about a buck twenty at the most.
Incredibly dense bones and muscles. You think someone with a regular body could do a tenth of the shit that Samus does? Their skeleton would fracture and their muscles would shred.

Bit of a random thing to bring up in a dormant thread, but check out why some people prefer the way Samus looks outside of her suit now compared to before.

Honestly, I never understood the need to make her some sort of extremely buff and muscular person outside of her suit. The suit is what does most of the heavy lifting after all, and I prefer the contrast between how she looks in and out of it.

She needs to have tig ole bitties and the most feminine jaw ever.

Calling Prime 4 around late July, based solely on the Prime Trilogy artbook releasing around then. I figure it is being done to help advertise it.

Expectations Hopes:

- That Retro hasn't been D.E.I.'d to death since 2007.
- That the new blood who helped make Prime Remastered now know what they are doing and can also innovate.
- I hope the game is safe. This can backfire however if it's too safe and uninspired, very fine line.
- I want any "new" control gimmicks to not mess with the experience (see Other M's sideways Wiimote/FPS pointer hybrid bullshit).
- I want to hear that they've hired Kenji Yamamoto again. The man is connected the Metroid like Koji Kondo is to Zelda.
- Really hoping they treat cutscenes and dialogue exactly like in Prime 3, i.e. keep it sparing and making Samus Shut Up.
- I hope the team is enterprising enough to try and bring back some form of Hunters-esque multiplayer, and actually make it succeed.
- I want the story to involve time travel like many are theorizing, because that's just the kind of mix-up which will set Prime 4 apart.
- I hope Samus' new model absolutely shits on the one from SSBU, I'm sick of the high-heels with neon-yellow-sweatbands whore look.
- Last but not least - I hope Sylux (just like the first Metroid) is a girl. I hope everyone has been getting fucked with since 2006.

Still a bit skeptical of if Prime 4 will be able to match the earlier Prime games, given how Retro is a far different studio then they were back when the made the original trilogy.

Heck, given how Sakamoto has made strives to redeem himself with Dread, I’m wondering why people still think that only American developers should be the ones who develop games for the series.

Nippon just can't handle the fact that western barbarians made the best Metroids

So Super and Zero Mission aren’t up there?

Dread is an absolute shit tier overrated game shilled by consoomer redditors because its the trendy thing to do. They can choke on their damn extreme overusage of powerbomb blocks if they love it so much.

A Prime game literally cannot do any worse than Dread. You'd have at least several beams in prime hunters by the time you maybe get the multi-missile upgrade in Dread and they dont fill their levels with obstacles you dont have the tools to deal with or at least have a reasonable path to some upgrades to work your way through with. Introducing 1-2 at a time instead of trapping you in with fucking powerbomb blocks and beam doors you can't open yet. They at least let you explore a bit and find the miniboss who drops the required upgrade to progress. Instead of one of the most useless and schizophrenic order of upgrades I've ever seen in a 2D exploration video game. Fuck the EMI gun that only works during rare setpiece encounters against EMI's. Give us the damn powerbombs and tools to navigate the fucking level instead.

Best metroid is fusion because it is the first one I played.
Fusion had the best damn controls and feel of any Metroid game until Dread. Super is fun, but it's just so clunky these days, although I really appreciate how it's the only entry in the series that lets you toggle upgrades. I wanted to see some stuff from Super in Dread, but by now Super is the outlier. Perhaps Metroid 6 will properly use the ice beam again.

Why are nintendo fans like this?

In response to being buff though, it's not like samus being buff is a new thing.

I found dread pretty disappointing after hearing about how it's the next best 2d metroid since super and I couldn't even finish it. The whole game kind of felt like a generic space action platformer they shoehorned some metroid shit into. I didn't really like Fusion much either but at least it mostly felt like a metroid game apart from Adam.

But to be fair though Prime 3 was an absolutely shit tier game that also barely felt like a metroid game and the gimmicky motion control shit was fucking awful. I don't really have a lot of high hopes for Prime 4. Especially after hearing how their original plan was to double down on all the shitty things they weren't able to do with prime 3 and make it even less like a metroid game. I really don't want some gay free roaming open universe bounty hunter faggotry. I just want a good fucking action adventure game with a nice interconnected map that slowly opens up as you unlock cool fucking powerups.

I need to replay all of the Prime games. I never even finished Echoes.

Elaborate on this. A lot of space stuff can seem generic, except for the parts with the monsters. The Alien films can come off that way in scenes without the titular aliens.

I saw people complaining that Dread used the same kinds of environments as previous games, but I still enjoyed it. The E.M.M.I. segments were pretty fun, and I think it would be interesting to have a game with a pursuer enemy not confined to any particular areas.

Have we ever seen Samus hunting for bounties? The Federation has given her assignments but I don't recall her ever expecting payment afterward. I'm starting to think she isn't a real bounty hunter.

It's not really brought up in the game, but it's implied she's paid off screen.

Not every game revolves around a bounty (Fusion and Super dont), but I'm pretty sure Metroid 1, 2, and Dread are all some form of bounty posted by the Federation.

From very old (most likely non-canon) sources, she started by being a more traditional bounty hunter (hunting criminals and such) before doing the stuff she does in the games.
