Doing a run to bring a Collarless cat through Moon and Rift, and I thought I'd have to drag it through, but it's the other way around, this idiot is carrying the rest of the team in Crater so far

The Soul passives are really nice in general, but especially on Collarless

Oh, fun interaction with diseases. One of my cats got Distemper (Increase your crit chance/crit damage but increase your forced miss chance after every battle), and I thought they'd be screwed for life, but it turns out the miss chance counts as a debuff so Cleanse was able to get rid of it (I skipped the hard route since the miss chance would have built up, but knowing that interaction works is a godsend).

Oh yeah that's how lots of stuff works. Anything that isn't like, "Permanent [x]" can be cleared, I think, so for instance I don't think you can clear blindness from the birth defect where they have no eyes.
You can however, make it a non-issue by just giving them items or skills that cant miss. That's how I salvaged one of my cats who got blinded from an event.

pro tip
Gambit's die counts as an inanimate object
pair with Pet Rocks and Demolish for maximum fun :)
beat that motherfucker in two rounds after he gave the first team that met him a super hard time, I cannot express how satisfying that was

When I got the Amigara fault event, my cat came back as psychotic and I had to kill it. As in, the game marked it as an enemy, and the battle didn't end until it was put down.
That's why you carry that one weapon that permanently charms enemies. Unless it breaks. Don't know if you can re-purchase a former quest item.
edit: I think there's a huge problem with the game, and that it's that it overestimates how difficult it really is. I've just finished The Moon and I've only gotten a few upgrades. The easiest ones are from Tink, because he just wants kittens, so he's given me most of the upgrades next to the good doctor. I just unlocked Butch's second storage upgrade, which requires cats from the caves and boneyard. Now he wants from the bunker/crater, which I can start funding now that I've cleared the other path. If I do two runs and donate the cats from those two runs and two from my most recent run, I can do it. No biggie!

Frank wants 25 cats for the first house upgrade. 25 cats. I understand that an additional room is a *big* boon, but 25 cats. Breeding enough cats to fund that is already an uphill battle when having more than four in a room including kittens makes fights break out more often, but that's a lot of playthroughs worth of cats even if I'm tossing three cats into his furnace after every excursion. At the rate I'm going, I'll probably have act 3 cleared by then. I'm really liking Psychic so far, its attack is really weak but being able to position yourself from a safe space to screw with an enemy's positioning extremely useful if you have slower units is invaluable. Also, floating glass is very funny.

gave a cat the uranium rod and immediately got a second mutation for one of his arms. isn't that like incredibly rare?

In my experience it seems like it's as likely as any other kind of mutation to happen in a run, but I've never had a kitten born with two different arm/leg mutations, only had it happen later like that
huh. the little guy's been going through it but he's at about six mutations right now, including a mutation on a single ear.

Crater just has so much bullshit heaped upon bullshit man.

E: Okay, finally got that Throbbing Domain unlocked. Will probably do a proper run through it, tonight. I have a feeling I need my strongest cat for this.

I just completed the Throbbing domain on the first try beat the king by round 12.
I didnt think i was going to make it, as my party had the Hunter die in the boneyard to a crappy insect storm, where everyone exploded into a fly or maggot on death if downed destroying the corpse.

And my Fighter was the one wearing Guillotina’s head, so he was sacrificed to open the way, which i had anticipated would still give me the chance to go home but no.

So all i had left was a druid and a rogue with triple throw, and no dot effects, and a level 0 cat that joined me after the Hunter died.

I managed to make my way to the king it was tough with only 1 real DPS. But Ill go over my special tevhniques.

My Druid had that priest special that gives everyone your hp regen, and upgraded so it heals over cap so everyone had lots of hp and he had the upgraded ability to reduce your spells costs by 1, and his only attack was “Throw egg” which makes critters after 2 rounds or hits for 4 damage, as well as making flower tiles. He allowed me to focus purely on dealing damage with the health regen and I got some extra crows luckily to help deal with those nasty stim cell cats, his throw egg while weak eventually cost 1mp so i could consistently deal like 30damage per round if i sat in flowers and chucked eggs.

My rogue had triple throw, and no dots but he crit often enough to be consistent. And finally the last cat I gave the crown of pestilence to hit all the stem cell globes with 1 damage on the map to help keep adds down.

I didnt think id pull it off but I did. Then after I won i finally did the core for the first time and won the butcher class

Holy shit. Upgraded crow form, soy milk Gain three basic attacks, but its damage is locked to 1. +6 to every friendly's stats, and -6 to every enemy's stats. I think I get druid now. Also grooving on psychic now that I upgraded shatter the sky and got gravity blast.

Whoever made the obelisk activation reliant on Luck should've been fired
I know it was probably still McMillen
But he should've fired himself just to drill into his head how bad an idea that was
An entire fucking hour being wasted against the Moon Man should not be rewarded with a broken paw on my Hunter just because his luck stat is 5 instead of 15

Wake up, new duping exploit discovered:

tl;dw as long as you have the money, you can repeatedly buy stuff from Tracy/Baby Jack by Alt-F4ing the game immediately after buying the item of your choice. As one YouTube comment put it this is an ironic oversight from a game that punishes savescumming.
