My deepest regret is uncovering and outing
@Michael J Hirtes.
I thought he was an obnoxious, unfunny prick and when I found his background I was shocked to see that he was one of the biggest scourges of the furry fandom. He was a guy who would cause trouble no matter where he went. He would harass people on usenet, FurAffinity, through email, etc. Everything about him is about making people's lives miserable in some miniscule way so he can feel better about himself.
The past few months, I have reflected on all of this.
@Michael J Hirtes isn't at all what i thought. I was looking at him from the wrong perspective. I was looking at him as a rabblerouser who wanted to hurt Chris, and I allowed this to cloud my judgement of what is funny and what is not.
@Michael J Hirtes is right.
Chris should suffer.
Chris brings pain upon everyone around him. People give their own time to protect him and defend him. The ends of all that is that Chris manipulates them. He is a parasite and a leech.
@Michael J Hirtes saw this long ago and I just couldn't.
@Michael J Hirtes wasn't harassing furries, he was trolling them and having a good time doing it. And now I realize that I didn't own him. He owned us all by making us all want to stop him. He invoked an emotional reaction from us.
The harder we tried, the deeper we fell in. Like quicksand,
@Michael J Hirtes pulled us in.
Hirtes trolled us. He trolled us all.
We should have been on his side all along.
