Mike Judge and Comedy Central are "reimagining" Beavis and Butt-Head for Gen Z

And they didn't know it was a riot, they obliviously wandered the streets while the town burned around them, only stumbling across the free tablets because they were "cool."

Necroing this thread because a lot has come up about this reboot. First, here's some designs for old Beavis and old Butt-head:

Also, more info about the Beavis and Butt-head movie released. It will be called "Beavis and Butt-head Do the Universe" and will be releasing sometime in July. New episodes of the TV show will follow, which will now be exclusive to Paramount+, as well as 200 remastered old episodes. Here's a synopsis from a Viacom press release (archive).
  • BEAVIS AND BUTT-HEAD DO THE UNIVERSE: In perhaps the dumbest space movie ever made, Beavis and Butt-Head are sentenced to Space Camp by a “creative” judge in 1998. Their obsession with a docking simulator (huh huh) leads to a trip on the Space Shuttle, with predictably disastrous results. After going through a black hole, they reemerge in our time, where they look for love, misuse iPhones, and are hunted by the Deep State. Spoiler: They don’t score.

Personally, while I still have faith in Mike Judge for making a good revival (he already did it once for the show), hearing about Beavis and Butthead using iPhones concerns me. Forcing new technology into old shows like B&B usually never goes well

It doesn't say they 'use' them. It says they 'misuse' them.

I predict lots of dick pics and upskirt shorts.

If they ran into Daria, who's gotten 24 years older, probably has 2 divorces and 40 cats.

i'm not having high hopes. maybe it will be good. there is a rumor that they are trying to bring back King of the Hill, but I don't know if this is true. maybe, judge is running low on money.

Given its been 30 years or more since the series began those could as well be the current B&B since they would be near 50 by now

"Remastered" meaning: we paid some company that paid some company that paid a random guy with a pirated copy of AE to run all our episodes thru that shitty upscaler 60fps thing kids on youtube use to ruin old movies

Yeah, it took a long time for anything funny to happen, though the ending was very much in keeping with the spirit of Beavis & Butt-head.
 
The "they do WAP" video was not just unfun, but depressing.
laughing at kids being retarded metalheads and autistic in school is OK, but dirty fat grownups watching niggaz twerking is just depression questing.
