I was right (I have a 6th sense about these things). I kept wondering why Milo was so disposable to Nick, especially with all his connections and everything Milo’s done for him, I felt like the credit card mix-up thing (that Milo clearly attempted to resolve) just didn’t add up or make sense. I sensed something about Milo really put Nick off, in some way, on like a visceral level, likely unintentionally. Is it possible that maybe Nick felt challenged or overwhelmed by Milo as they spent more time together when working with Kanye? Not that Milo necessarily did anything bad or wrong, but maybe Nick just didn’t like Milo’s larger-than-life personality, idk.
I just still don’t understand why Milo was so disposable to Nick. Not only is Milo not someone to be messed with, but he also seemingly did a lot for Nick to help him and seemed to enjoy that role, never asked anything in return.
Milo clearly attempted to settle the hotel bill mix-up, so for Nick to stay mad at that, idk, it seems like he was looking for a reason to cut ties with Milo.
So, apparently (according to Nick’s latest Twitter space), while working w/Kanye in LA, Milo booked a room for them w/1 bed and expected Nick to share it with him. Nick says he refused and slept on the floor, then used his own card to book a separate room.
From everything I’ve heard about Milo, he’s broke and cheap, so he may very well have just been trying to save money by booking a room with 1 bed (which is cheaper than a room with 2 beds), but it freaked Nick out. He may not have meant to, but he did, I think Nick may have saw it like Milo expected that of him in return for him introducing him to Kanye, maybe? Either way, after that, Nick was permanently on guard and repelled by Milo. His walls went way up and he viewed the rest of their time working together through a lens of disgust and suspicion, so it didn’t help when Sneako called him and said Milo was in Kanye’s office without pants and it didn’t help when Milo offered him Percoset, either (and to be fair, ppl offer each other pills all the time for random shit, like I’ve had friends offer me Xanex when I’m stressed out, etc. and that’s likely what Milo was doing, just trying to be helpful, but Nick didn’t see it that way). Then, there was all the stains on Milo’s clothing, his unkemptness, him claiming to be rich, but his card constantly declines and his Louis Vuitton bag falling apart. He saw through Milo’s fascade with a mix of pity and disgust and decided he wanted to be nowhere near him, but felt trapped because they were working together, so he was very relieved when Milo was let go.
So, I think that explains what happened there, why Nick just had no interest in salvaging his connection to Milo, despite it seemingly being in his best interest to do so and I think that’s why he’s gone so hard at Milo and is so angry with him for leaking the Ali stuff.
Not that that excuses the way he’s been handling these allegations, btw! But that Twitter Space answered my question of why Milo was suddenly so disposable to him, maybe nobody else cares, but I’ve always been curious.
Anyway.
