I like his videos showcasing the new updates, but he's a big Microshill that spreads the message, and wonders why people are so heckin toxic. (IE. the forced Microsoft account fiasco, chat reporting system, etc.)

I know back during the chat reporting saga he seemed completely ignorant (or delibrately seeming like he did not know to get the drama to go away) about the major problems people had with it. He brushed off some of the criticism by saying "trust mojang bro" and "bedrock already does it, why is it so bad?"

Aye, I'll simply not use mod packs that have it. Used to be a pain to find a nice looking mod pack, then it has Quark, and removing might cause issues (lucky so far, most mods don't have it as a dependency, only one I know of is integrated dungeons which is a very nice mod)

It's such a fucking headache getting Minecraft stable with mods, even with a decent rig. Forge specifically, I swear the "performance" mods actually make it worse half the time. The magic some modpack makers use is wild to me, I could make the same exact mods and it'll run 100x worse no matter what I do in the configs. Yet on others that could be bigger than mine I could have shaders and still get a clean 60 fps.

Isn't the boss fight literally just you but glitchy? 12 blocks is the max radius I believe.

The one I linked is pollymc (2 l's), which is just cracked prisim launcher. Apparently polymc is also cracked now?

The code of conduct and all that shit has been injected into "neo"forge. I found out the same thing that happened to polymc happened to forge too (all but lex moved to "neo"forge). So now the forge 'team' is just 1 guy.

There are now 4 modloaders. Microjang is becoming increasingly retarded. Minor versions now breing breaking makes versionchasing feel like a necessity if you want to support 1.19+.

There will never be another version like 1.7.10. Maybe that's a good thing given it would just be infested with this tranny shit anyway.

The mod's just thrown into everything without thought. When they need that mod for "progression" it becomes annoying. I think the correct move is to uninstall the pack in most cases.

Modpack with 20 mods that you threw together in a day > kitchen sink modpacks where you will never touch half the mods before quitting.
They never change the configs either, so shit like mekanism breaks the balance of all the other tech mods.

There is also UltimMC, which is an offline version of MultiMC. I personally use this despite owning a premium account.

I'll admit to being a fan of Botania, if only for nostalgic reasons. Back when I played on modded faction servers, Botania was the only mod with an item that could get me past Thaumcraft 3's warded blocks (the otherwise useless "spirit rail"), so it was a mod I had to delve into if I wanted to raid other players bases effectively.

That being said, I have noticed that the mod has shifted over time from being about flower magic, to being about how you can automate said flower magic, which ironically takes a lot of the magic away from it. As far as actual magic mods go, I think Witchery was probably the best one.
