everything else being out of place horror mods or boring vanilla+ shit.
Autistic nitpick but I will say there's a good amount of mods being put out/updated that don't fall into either camp.
civilization videos and escape rooms and whatnot
Don't know about the escape rooms, I just see them recommended to me but I don't care much for them. The civilizations however are mostly just 2-3 good content creators while the rest are just annoying, low effort derivatives. I remember the one guy (Schpood) from Ish's Civ actually did some interesting stuff outside of it. There's also some good other neat stuff made for the unreleased Civ Ish did...yeah Ish pretty much is the only great one. Yeah man, Minecraft video creation is just dogshit outside a handful of people and I hate it.
The servers are digital pay2win casinos for cacas and are being increasingly rulecucked by Microslop's mandates.
One of the worst parts of nu-MC, like you said the community was the best part and shit like this is what further kills it (beyond the usually autismo-tranny shit). No community, only abusing gambling addicts and low impulse control children. I've seen and been to a few good ones that just want to have fun and actually do events and shit, those are way too far and like we talked about with Minigame servers they're all gone or merged into those money farms for Microcuck and their sycophants.
Most people play the game like Dream SMP speedrunners to the point that you're expected to enjoy Minecraft within a 2-week timeframe once a year, and people literally do closing ceremonies for their worlds.
It got so bad that forever world videos are considered a novelty. People's attention spans are so shot that there's a MC channel (well it uses MC as a medium) dedicated to helping people fix that. I think there's multiple in fact.
WorldEdit turned building into 3D modeling.
Now this I'm not too concerned of, if people wanted to build from scratch they'd do that. Using WE, Axiom, etc. isn't really a bad thing.

People who call anyone who prefers old minecraft to new nostalgia blind never got past the 2016 hate phase methinks.
Everyone who complains that old versions don't have enough features is like a nigger complaining his painting canvas is empty

also it's not just minecraft that's overrun with insufferable retards it's internet in general and the reason i come only to this website these days

IDK why I can't give your post a reppey but

>Autistic nitpick but I will say there's a good amount of mods being put out/updated that don't fall into either camp.

There are actually a lot of good new mods but they aren't on the same level of all the big classic mods. More importantly they are split between Forge, Fabric, a billion other mod loaders, different versions

For every decent youtuber there's like 50 content farms. Back then there were 50 cacas recording shit on Fraps for every good YouTuber, so technically the balance hasn't shifted but just got more soulless. Also so many good genres like mod showcases, and more importantly animations/machinimas have faded into obscurity, which is the real loss here

It's lazy. Like niggas will be like "I recreated all of Chicago in Minecraft!" and you look inside and they used WorldEdit like nigga you're a 3D modeler

Minecraft discourse feels even more retarded than every other community for some reason

Axiom is fun for me because I like doing that 3D modeling thing in the game and I am lazy enough to not want to place thousands of blocks. For me it allows for more freedom in the creativity toy aspect of the game, and that’s what I enjoy.
The guys who do those mega build clickbait things, the quality is up and down but there are good creators out there. The good ones tend to be more mature and less shrill and loud, and they treat it like art which I personally think is neat.
Most of those guys are just mid clickbait for kids, let’s be real though.

Lol. Anyway yeah that happens for whatever reasons, usually when it's a spoiler but sometimes it just breaks. Try reloading the page.

Always some fucker trying to make their own "super special" mod loader because someone developer said something they don't like or...honestly it could be a billion reasons. The classic mods have that charm that just feels unmatched, even by newest and more or less "better" mods. I still find myself going back to Hexxit and other older modpacks.

First thing I see when I look up Minecraft Animations in an Incog tab. Jesus Christ, the fact that Squared Media is right below that is like whiplash. One of the few people who makes good MC animations these days. Machinimas are few and far sadly between but some still get made occasionally. I think Faces in the Sky is one but I haven't watched it.
Wat? Oh, "just shut it down." I'm not really good at any terminologies.
It's lazy. Like niggas will be like "I recreated all of Chicago in Minecraft!" and you look inside and they used WorldEdit like nigga you're a 3D modeler
Mmm, fair. Most people who use WorldEdit and whatnot are making it for a project (most likely to sell on Patreon or some store) so you're definitely right in them just being 3D modelers. There's a World's difference (hemhemhemhem) between Worldedit and by hand. There's still some who mostly do it by hand and just use WorldEdit to tweak things really fast, I do believe there's some people who build cool stuff only by hand like Flowstate. Also I wouldn't call it lazy, these tools are a load off the builder (especially for the more tedious aspects) but there's still a lot of work and creativity put into a lot of these projects.

I'd say because of how big and autistic the community is. If-for example using my namesake-the Starsector community was as big as Minecraft, you'd probably get as much awful discourse as what MC is having now. Hell in some small parts every community has awful discourse if you're hanging around the wrong crowds. You compare discourse here to Reddit and it's night and day.

Real. The game and modding especially peaked right around 2014 with mature tekkit packs like Voltz, FTB, and [insert any ex nihilo gimmick pack here]. I still think FTB Infinity evolved’s the best pack ever made, only nowadays with zoomers fagging out over create like my generation did with buildcraft and IC2 are packs picking back up to even acceptable quality.

This "woman" is complaining about people comparing "her" voice to Technoblade's.
I think this might be a joke video referencing the Technolarp drama from a few months ago.
Disclaimer: I don't watch moistcritikal, all I know from the drama comes from unlisted Harmful Opinions streams.
tl;dr: weirdo imitates Technoblade, gains a sizable following until critikal intervenes and some ween contacts Technoblade's family, then Technolarp drops the imitation and rebrands.
Although, from the search I did on YouTube trying to find anything about the aforementioned drama, it seems Technoblade imitation is an entire genre on its own, since I got several results of imitators that were not Technolarp or Pikachubutbetter.

FTB Infinity evolved
Even though I never finished this pack, it’s the most fun I’ve had with Minecraft ever. I decided to go all-in on magic right from the get-go and was able to get some pretty heavy magic-only automation going for Botania, Thaumcraft and Blood Magic. Basically 99%'d Botania, Thaumcraft and Witchery, and maybe 90%'d Blood Magic, had an oregen setup where I summoned meteors into the crater of a volcano with Blood Magic and broke them down with Thaumcraft lasers. Unfortunately I kind of burned out on the tech side of things because I wanted to use Logistics Pipes instead of AE2 and that ended up being both incredibly laggy and incredibly janky to get working, and I could never find the motivation to rewire my base. I still have that world file floating around on my PC somewhere.

On the new update, I like it.
Cushions are good for decorations, the poplar trees are just lovely, and the colored slabs and stairs are by far the best addition the game has had in a while. The cushions are weird, though, I'll have to play with them to see how much I like them. The autumn forest vibe is just nice, so I'm thinking a nice big Halloween fair with a hay bale maze and a pumpkin patch and rides and games is my next project.

I always felt like Minecrtaft has been heading into a direction intended for people who didn't actually like minecraft ever since 1.9 when I first heard idiots celebrating it becoming more like an rpg when it was never supposed to be like that at first.

That tends to happen when something slowly becomes to plans to become corporate. They only understand the desire to appeal to as many as possible, or at least the easiest to please, kids.

I'm liking the cushions for interiors, once you get the hang of them there's some nice details you can add. One of the best things is that light goes through it and you can finally put something on top of your carpets.
2026-09-17_12.52.05.png
I made a little cafe and used the cushions to hide some lights and as a little plate for the cake. It's subtle, but I like it.
2026-09-17_12.52.46.png
Here in the exhibit I used the cushions to transition the floor to the glass, like a rubber seal. I think it looks nice and isn't out of place.
Overall, I'm liking the cushions a lot more than I expected to and they will completely change the game for people autistic about interiors and small details. The more I play with them the more I’m convinced that they’re going to revolutionize building, to the point that I think Mojang doesn’t even know what they really did. If you do some clever work you can completely ignore most rules of building, for example you can carpet slabs and staircases, create wall mosaics, create many different styles of floors and ceilings with intricate designs, make a pillar with a spiral in it, hide redstone in plain sight, it’s the most broken building tool we’ve ever gotten it’s absurd.
I ain’t complaining though, I love that autism.

I used the cafe area to mess around with the cushions, I quite like how it's going.
It's a really interesting update, overnight the amount of color and detail we can use exploded and when the turbo-spergs get going we'll see some insane builds.

When I was 11, I was so hooked on Minecraft that I’d already completed it twice, but then I gave up on the game and never played it again. Still, it’ll always be remembered as the best game I’ve ever played, and personally, I prefer the exploration aspect – I’m rubbish at building.

When I was 11, Minecraft didn't have an end game.

ive recently started playing minecraft again with the distant horizons mod and it has finally fixed my problem with minecraft, ive always gotten bored in minecraft because the infinite world of minecraft while it is awe inspiring, it also leaves my own creations in the world feeling miniscule no matter how big they are. being able to see everything around you makes it feel like you are really in the world and not just in some fog covered chunk in an endless world. i no longer see the infinite world as a hinderence but as an extension of the world which has finally enabled me to enjoy minecraft.
it does require a decent computer to work and having it on any setting lower than medium isnt really worth it since it looks so bad but if you can use it i highly reccomend it, its even on every major mod version except for 1.7.10 (though if you are playing 1.7 i doubt you care about removing world fog)

mojang will add shit like this that even modders have not really done well and then just refuse to allow vertical slabs and block rotation

Hi, Soldier Boy, are you back from the freezer? lol
The freezer is where I keep my oldest Minecraft files from when I first started playing it, including screenshots and mods. Granted, that was Beta 1.3, but still. I'm a goddamn fossil.
