Was Colin portrayed as black? My god, I thought even Chris would have known better than to lead with, "Ha ha, your skin is the color of poop," when talking to a black person.

He's probably also, yet again, referencing Family Guy, so doesn't think he's being racist.

I was re-reading the last e-mail, where Colin shoots Chris down as soon as the latter falls back on the "but I worked SO HARD in spite of my AUTISM" & remarks that he can't even run a successful eBay business---at first I was like, "you know, I AM kinda proud of Chris for working for his money. That was a pretty big step for him."

Then I saw this fluff piece on the local news a few days ago. A 26-year-old woman with Down's makes thousands running her own greeting card business, & she donates the profits to Down's Syndrome research-related charities.

I've always thought this. Because Chris thinks he's incredibly intelligent, it doesn't occur to him that other people might actually understand words that fly over his head.

Because in the previous voicemail Chris left for Colin, he told Colin to drop dead. When Chris hung up the phone, he probably started to re-enact Colin's potential death with LEGOS. When Chris called Colin the next day, or whenever the second voicemail took place, Colin's number wasn't disconnected, so therefore, he was alive. In Chris' mind, if someone is dead, their telephone number magically disappears.

You know I have never thought of it like that, I always Chalked it up to some sense of smug superiority he has when he thinks he is being clever, or more correctly more clever than you. But that would make sense very little of Chris is original he mimics what he believes the world is like (from what ever source), as I said I chalked it up to his voluptuous ego, but mimicry would make more sense, Chris is the type of guy that would really try your patience if you where trying to deal with him face to face an keep civil an unless it written in massive letters right in front of him he can't pick up on social clues.

Not really, he was recycling the wording (I am doubtful of that) but his parents seem like the kind of people who use that kind of phrasing when it comes to people of African decent, an that's when they where trying to be polite. I can imagine them being quite reserved around Chris as they didn't want the little sped making a faux par in public an having to deal with the fallout. While he is just parroting an I doubt he is really racist he attitude is formed mostly by his parents he still has a negative view of people who are different from how he looks he is worried about them an what they will do, in the QnA it was said he hid his stuff from the black kids in the shop.

This reply was originally going to be me saying that he's not really a racist, he's just ignorant and sheltered and doesn't see what's wrong with making fun of a person for the colour of their skin. Then I realised that that's basically exactly what a racist is, so... yeah. Carry on.

Every time Chris brings in his random access humor, I assume the only reasons are 1) he's trying to distract attention from a subject he doesn't want to talk about and 2) he's trying to make himself look smart and thus deserving of praise.

3) He's trying to rap because he thinks that's how you communicate with black people.
