So it seems the Mixtape discourse whether the game is indie or not really triggered the Art Economist to the point he switched from slideshows to gameplay.

Not going to lie, hearing him losing his mind (comparatively speaking) kind of made me laugh.
This man is an idiot, holy shit.
Snowfall, an FX show, from 2017. Disney didn't acquire Fox until 2019 when 3 of 6 seasons had already been released and most of the awards it won were from prior to season 4 in 2021.
Claims the writer room Reservation Dogs was made up entirely of "indigenous people" Taika Waititi isn't even indigenous to the same fucking hemisphere as the rest of the native americans that wrote it.
Compares John Romero and John Carmack... by using Daikatana and Doom 2016. Not Quake 3 Arena? Or Doom 3(which sucked)? John Carmack didn't even work on Doom 2016, he left iD software in 2014 because that Rage bullshit fucking flopped, nevermind that Zenimax bought iD software in 2009 so anything after that including Rage and Doom 3 BFG edition weren't indie games either. Nevermind that Carmack went to fucking Oculus VR, did basically fucking nothing and then moved onto Keen Technologies in 2022 to do AI shit and still hasn't done anything.
Brings up Hiyao Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli getting Disney to do global distribution(they did North American, not global)... except claims that Disney had no influence on anything but that's completely untrue as they completely fucked the English dub for Princess Mononoke by insisting it have a bunch of recognizable Hollywood names instead of just established voice actors and wound up with Gillian Anderson, Jada Pinkett Smith, etc. But as far as the content, why would Disney's distribution have had any impact on works created entirely before Studio Ghibli even fucking existed? He specifically calls out Nausicaa, Laputa, My Neighbor Totoro, Kiki's Delivery Service, Porco Rosso, all completed before Disney had any involvement in 1996, and even fucks up by bringing up Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind which was done in 1984 before Studio Ghibli even fucking existed and isn't distributed by Disney or Ghibli.
He's fucking retarded, and either dishonest about so much shit or completely ignorant about crap that would have taken him minutes to fact check before spewing any of this crap.
Also, she doesn't know how to rewind a tape manually. There's a "minigame" that's supposed to consist of using a pencil to rewind a tape. You do not, in fact, rewind the tape. You fast-forward it.
Here's the clip, she doesn't even do that. She'd have fucked up the tape.
Finally got to watch Josh's stream. I mostly agree with him, just not about the rating. I give it a 6-7.
Didn't watch the end of the stream, but the entire problem with this game is the rating. If the game journos had given it even an 8, no one would have given a shit, looked into Annapurna Interactive, etc.
It is a bit lenghty at times but does have its funny moments, including a few not too obvious references, like the one to the 1980s Loudness Wars no one seems to have got.
It started in the 80s, but never ended. As far as references to the loudness wars, they may be in...
