Fuck, man. That was a scary ass fight between Nate and Perez, so glad the OG Nate Diaz won that fight. So looking forward into watching that Jorge Masvidal fight with him!

Heartbroken over DC’s loss. Dude was controlling those first three rounds hard. Those left-hook body shots delivered by Miocic, which I think were like 8 in total, left DC completely compromised. I’d wager DC has one or two more fights before he calls it quits.

The Romero v Costa fight was the most entertaining to me. Was also odd seeing Smith get so easily dismantled by Worth.
 
Does Fight Pass have any value these days, or is everything now locked between 2 or 3 different payments?

I'm thinking both Khabib - Poirier and Barboza - Felder are going to be really fun fights.

That event started way too early. Also, and I'm saying this as a fan of Maia, when the commentary team twice during your walkout say Demian Maia has the striking advantage... you're pretty terrible

The Korean Zombie owns. I've always found Frankie Edgar boring (save for a few standout fights, most notably the Tyson Griffin one - which is incredible) and was in fear of 25 minutes of pointfighting. Instead TKZ got Frankie's timing down really early and lol it was all over.
 
I'm necroing this thread just to say 2020's looking stacked, but something's really been irking me.

Jorge Masvidal doesn't want Usman. Apparently Usman doesn't want Masvidal. The UFC apparently doesn't want Usman v Masvidal. Why the fuck are people acting like it's fucking happening tomorrow, and why are they acting like it's not gonna be Usman grabbing a leg and holding it until the judges call the fight?
 
Connor still has it, but we should give props to that geezer mick that ate his punch like a soft breeze hit his face.

I’m still heartbroken over it, but it was the expected outcome. Either way, I’m with you. Conor’s win against Cowboy definitely makes the Masvidal fight appear more appetizing, and I do hope Jorge rearranges his face.

49-46 is the most hilarious thing I’ve ever heard. In the prelims, Cruz had mentioned that two of the judges (he didn’t name them) were engaged in conversation and not watching the fight. Derrick Lewis didn’t win his fight. I think they got the call with Dan Ige correct (my favorite fight of the night - Valentina was going to dominate that poor woman anyhow). I still wholeheartedly believe that Santos edged over Jones. Reyes got totally fucked here and I’d be livid if I were him, but props for maintaining his composure.

I don’t ever really check the outside boards on kiwi, usually /heem/ for MMA shitposting. Tonight’s fights seem likely to be based, really excited to see what Izzy’s reign turns into. Also does anyone here train or compete?
