Here's a lovely song Atari made back when they were rocking worlds as Infogrames.

God, I love hearing about the stupid porn games. Custer's Revenge, Beat em and Eat em, Bachelor(ette) Party, Cathouse Blues, Burning Desire, Gigolo, Knight on the Town, Philly Flasher. There are a few others. Half of them are sex-swapped versions of the other. Can't forget the later Atari classic "Beat 'em and Eat 'em"! Control two women trying to catch drops of semen from a man masturbating on top of an apartment building. Hard mode requires you to catch it in their mouths instead of simply letting it touch the sprites for their bodies. No wokeness here, not at all - this is good old-fashioned pre-proto-woke hardcore gameplay! Guaranteed to keep you entertained for hours! Only $143 dollars in 2025 currency - a steal compared to that old passe pay-per-view.

It's a step in the right direction but when I think "comeback" I think of something like Nintendo Switch, going from your lowest point to your highest.I know it may not look like much but if you compare them now to what they had been reduced to by the 2010s ( aka Atari's Dark Age) then it starts looking like the biggest comeback in gaming history.
Remember the era of Haunted House Cryptic Graves, Alone in the Dark Illumination , Asteroids Outpost and Roller Coaster Tycoon World ? When Atari was the biggest clown show (lolcow) of the gaming industry? Compared to that period I'd say what they have been doing since 2021 definitely counts as a comeback ( or at least a return to form).
The last console Atari put out was the VCS 800 in 2021 . That thing is technically still around ( hasn't been discontinued yet ) but it hasn't even sold 100k units. With the Playstation and Xbox brands dead and Nintendo careening towards bankruptcy, Atari may be poised to take the lead in the console arena again.
When I got my VCS Jr. in 1986 ("Under fifty bucks!") for Christmas of 86, Solaris was one of the first games I bought. It was great. The programmer, Doug Neubauer, I believe, had been working on this game on and off for years. I'm sure there is still an interview done with him a couple of decades ago where he talks about this game, floating around on the net somewhere.Anyone tried Solaris out? Pretty amazing that a game like that could be made for the 2600.
Holy shit, it’s so retro you can see one pixel of blonde bush on those cum gobblers. Can't forget the later Atari classic "Beat 'em and Eat 'em"!
