And of course they're going to acknowledge Earth Day.But whenever there's some islamic lesbian etc day, Google will be there.
Currently they're flashing a bunch of pictures of coral bleaching from 2016. Never mind that the coral all grew back since, it's a disaster and you should feel terrible for existing! And of course they're going to acknowledge Earth Day.
having a slow internet really made visiting each page feel like a big deal, when tabs were starting to become a mainstream browser thing i wasn't excited for the multitasking potential, but the easy ability to have a cached version of pages that took me a good 10-30 seconds to load on my shitbox internet.Sometimes I even miss the slow loadspeeds of dial-up. I know a certain elderly fellow who blames instant communication for the rise in low attention-spans and dopamine junkie behavior among our current generation, and I've come to respect the fact that he's right on these things
I'm almost certain they put up something for Easter one year but made it some multi-religious thing with the Muslim crescent most prominent. But whenever there's some islamic lesbian etc day, Google will be there.
I don't know how people can browse current year websites without uBlock's large media filter on slower connections. Streaming is fine because you choose to click play. Some assholes put stock videos into web page backgrounds and headers, that's the really annoying stuff.having a slow internet really made visiting each page feel like a big deal, when tabs were starting to become a mainstream browser thing i wasn't excited for the multitasking potential, but the easy ability to have a cached version of pages that took me a good 10-30 seconds to load on my shitbox internet.
still wouldn't want to go back to that though as i'm quite certain that i would go insane, especially now that most websites have bloated themselves up that even my current internet connection suffers trying to load them and how much of the web now focuses around high definition streaming content.
Whenever a YT video is labeled "YouTube Kids", comments are disabled.
Why is this a web woe for you? Isn't youtube kids just a kind of walled garden for kids uploading videos that they created after the pedo scandal?Seems more and more YT videos keep getting categorized as "YouTube Kids", which means comments are disabled.
(and "related videos" to any video tagged as "YT Kids" are always loudly colorful little kid stuff)
Because stuff that isn't necessarily "just kids stuff" can be labeled "YouTube Kids", meaning comments are disabled. Why is this a web woe for you?
Yeah, but, like what? I'm not accusing you of anything this is honestly mystifying to me.Because stuff that isn't necessarily "just kids stuff" can be labeled "YouTube Kids", meaning comments are disabled.
So if something is BS but labeled YTK, people can't call it out in the comments. Like a fake cheat in a vidya, for example.
(and of course dislikes are invisible without browser extensions)
I'd have to go back and see examples of something that used to be not YTK but is now, like a SpngeBob meme clip.I really don't understand how this is an issue.
That would be nice, the only thing I can think of (and it's obviously not a youtube kids video) is this.I'd have to go back and see examples of something that used to be not YTK but is now, like a SpngeBob meme clip.
It's not that big of a deal really though, really just a minor annoyance.
(also I like reading comments because they're usually witty)
lol(and it's obviously not a youtube kids video)
I think the scandal was covered either in a Defranco or Crowder video, one of them might have been the whistleblower, I don't remember. What I remember from that expose is that pedos left timestamps in the comments and the immediate action from youtube was to yeet comments.lol
BTW what's this scandal that happened?
(I thought "YouTube Kids" was just a content rating thing, not some kind of special program.)
Like this one: SpongeBob's 7 WEENIEST Momentsedit: still, what youtube kids videos would you like to comment on?
I enjoyed that videoLike this one: SpongeBob's 7 WEENIEST Moments- YouTube
If it had funny comments before, they've been disabled now.
Googling it they disabled comments in 2019 and that video was published in 2021, even the somewhat funny video about COPPA I posted was from late 2019 when lots of people were nervous about how their content looked(I watch people play Mario and they were shook because it's a game for children). So that Spongebob clip could never have any comments.Like this one: SpongeBob's 7 WEENIEST Moments- YouTube

SB has been around long enough that people who saw the oldest episodes as kids when they first aired are now adults.I have never watched Spongebob, I don't actually know what it is about, but I suspect that if that content is made for children the rest is for children as well.
