Monster Hunter Wilds

Will you play it at launch?

He's the most scripted (easiest) fight out of the four Apex monsters. I'd say he and Rey Dau are the better ones. Uth Duna has bad hitzone with veil up and maybe even horrible rain visual effect. Nu Udra is horrible fire visual everywhere and lame, Xu Wu is probably the better octopus fight.
Fuck the ice lizard

I get the feeling that some of you just hate fun. The game is fun, horror of horrors.
>Several people consistently expressed how they're having fun with this game, some even acknowledging the problems with this game regardless
>Several people consistently expressed how they've had fun/are having fun with previous games
>"Y-you guys just hate fun! Don't talk negatively about a game, just mindlessly play it and have fun!"

And if some people played it (which they have for some reason) and did not have fun (which some said)? What happens then? Is that just an impossibly? :story:
Zip up the game's pants when your done yeah? There is barely truthful statement here, further reinforcing my idea that most Wilds defenders are mostly bad faith actors, because at least niggercattle know when the just take their own advice and "just enjoy the game" as Mongrel wants people to. "This game has its issues but I do like it even if the other games were better" is a statement that'll cause you people to implode.
Even in this thread, actually you see a lot, comparatively, of Rise dickriding
Lol no.
but it's no longer the shiny new title to hate on, so it's all forgiven and forgotten and it's actually not a bad game and you can finally say positive things about it.
>Complains that people aren't shitting on Rise (there were, myself included)
>Complains people are shitting on Wilds
>"I'm not a hypocrite, you are!"

It's a pattern I have seen for every MH generation, and as always it's full of "no true scotsmans/back in my days".
Son, that's every fucking game that has multiple entries. What is going on big guy?
Sure, didn't ask your opinion though since I was talking about the general popular consensus around the conversation being hypocritical and not personal opinion. But that's fine, since you felt the need to insert yourself into the frothing retard catagory, you pop off king.

Lol, lmao even. People have responded better to his opinions than yours funny enough, if anything most people here didn't ask or want your opinion if your first retarded posts on this thread is any indicator. Even then, why should anyone be asked to give an opinion in the first place, yours or his? If you want a place like that, go back to Reddit. They'll (most likely) ban people for upvoting the wrong opinions so you'll fit right in. God help this site if you became a janny.

Throwing shit to the wall and seeing what sticks, eh?
and not personal opinion.
Sir that's all you've posted.
But that's fine, since you felt the need to insert yourself into the frothing retard catagory
Speaking of hypocritical, this is the most frothing reply yet.
>"I'm not a frothing retard! You are!"
This is just sad. The funniest part is, he agreed with you regarding World. But because he also said that Wilds was worse, an opinion he's apparently not allowed to voice according to you, you're getting pissy at him. What a strange creature you are.
A perfect example, really. since Worlds story was a fucking slog to get through with forced exploratory walk abouts and go to y zone, go to x zone's and pitifully short hunts to boot, ugly women, the zorah magdaros sections which were basically 15-20 minute unskippable cutscenes, the guiding lands progress walls encouraging you to go gather for hours on end, and plenty of cutscenes nobody gave a fuck about,
And yet you defending similar-if not worse-practices in Wild. Good lord man. Now before you reply with some non-response that would pretty much equate to "You're wrong, I'm right," have you tried this towards people who aren't apart of your hivemind? Leftists do it often, and considering your posts you sure argue like one:

Not going to call you a pussy for doing it :)

Long swording monsters has become a way of life to me. Also fuck Jin Dahaad.
Leave him he is lost to the longsword we are forever cursed to see the Japanese Katana propaganda when in fact their swords are terrible and can't even cut through the most basic of gambesons. watch him counter with a timing window as open as an only fans donation box.

The game's obviously not even complete dude. Smaller large monster lineup than even base World and there isn't even one elder dragon among them. There's no defending that. Between that, the terrible optimizations, and generally threadbare features it's obviously been rushed out the door.

I started with World at the urging of multiple friends that have played most if not all of the series, and haven't played any others in the series so my experience is limited but I can wholeheartedly say that World felt more fun than Wilds, it also ran better despite having a shitty launch as well. REengine does not work well with large amounts of NPC/PC models and Capcom knows it after DD2. DMC5 is 6 years old and it ran better.
I have started playing hammer now and it's pretty cool, but I have to use pods more if a monster decides it wants to levitate two inches off the ground, fuck my unga bunga life.

Haven't had this much fun with SnS in idk how long, and tbh GS feels as good as it ever has. I'm even almost tempted to dip back into LBG, seriously, for the first time since fucking MH1 because I'm just drowning in ammo and it's never been easy to gather and stay stocked up.

I noticed it from the jump, but I spent quite a long time bullying the Raths last night and got to see it more; they've got a lot of new moves/moves from their deviants. Ian has a lot of her Pink and Gold moves, lots. Particularly that double tail flip and the super charged fireballs. Shes got some brand new stuff but its the fact shes basically fully kitted that stands out to me most. Rath also has a lot of moves from rise and his azure/silver forms. Think he's got quite a bit of Dreadking in him too, and I don't think he's ever been this fire happy.

Mizu coming to the game is weird. He feels like a mon that should have been in HR already. Not one that comes in after beating the flagship. Idk what they can do to make him a challenge for whatever level he'll be. Based on the Raths I would be surprised if he's got some of a violets moveset on top of his, admittedly few, additions rise made to his base form.

Jin has easily become my favorite fight. The spectacle, the music, his design and sounds. Fuckin sick as. Sure wish he had a fuckin LS though or that his SnS wasn't a flail mace.

Nothin personal, kid

Cut him some slack, the furfaggot took time out of his busy schedule of molesting the family dog to post all this.

This is basically my take on the game, I had the same for DD2. I like how the Hunting Horn plays in this game and the fights themselves still have that Monster Hunter DNA in them. I like hunting for small ecology and exploring maps. Just Wilds as it is now has HUGE glaring flaws, some factors that contribute to it is the casualization, and pandering to the lowest common denominator of players. The 4th gen (3 gen a close 2nd) was the best iteration of the series to date, for my preference. My harsh criticism comes from a place of love and passion for the series, call it a sunken cost fallacy if you want. I'll 100% the achievements in the game and I will move on probably back to 3U/4U.

I swear to god it’s like fucking clockwork. I don’t know why so many people get their panties in a twist when people say a negative thing about something. Everyone has forgotten what criticism is now.

Im having fun with the game. Since is a game that i can play on my down time. That said i understand the criticism that this game is getting and the lack or complete exclusion of mechanics or monsters. Im not gonna say is the best monster hunter game, but for what it is, i wouldn't recommend it full price or in its current state.

Really just tired of this discourse and cope. "Sure the game doesn't play as good as the other ones, has less content/monsters/everything, runs like shit, is ugly as sin and takes 20 hours to actually get engaging, but it's still really fun!" That'll be 70 dollars please! It's what the kids call, rape victim shit.

See how easy it is to say that? People can't fathom the idea that you can like a game but still think it's not worth its asking price. "No, shut up, it's good, don't turn your brain on." It's tiring yet informative to who these games are for.

Wouldnt surprise me if they used DSP as their lowest common denominator like they did with GoW

I would have to agree with this. I find it quite disappointing I can't recommend this game because of Capcom's insistence to 'work the problems out' post launch.
I think this game is really fun and has helped compel me to try new weapons, but I really am frustrated with the current state of how large games like Wilds are handled before release. I doubt it's by choice from the people actually working on the game to put it out when it is so bare bones, but the cycle of "Finish the first half for launch and THEN add the rest of the end game content/DLC to extend the game's lifespan artificially!" is so fucking despicable- especially when people pay an arm and a leg just to own the title.
Otherwise I'm actually having a good time just relaxing with the game from time to time, I think the Arkveld fight in particular is so fun and its overall design (armor/weapons, sound design, theme etc..) is so good!
