I think the worst offender was the most recent Tekken having the Governor from The Walking Dead being in the game because uhh reasons?

It was Negan, a completely different character from the Governor. He's pretty much the most iconic TWD character outside of Rick, and maybe Sneedus Feedus (who's original from the show). Not that it makes more sense to have him, but still.

Sometimes it's a meme so stupid that can make you enjoy the game a little bit.

I've developed a masochistic relationship with MK1. I dunno if I really love it or I'm just trying to justify myself paying for it. Clocked more hours into i than MK11 but I guess the less grind for shit has made the numbing of online play less painful. The one thing I see this being kept alive is if the bring in the Kharacter mashup's from the last chapter of them story mode. It would be so awesome to combine Kharacters like Melinna and Reiko for a like a faster/more maneuverability glrappler fighter. Or Scorpion and Kenshi for long combos with Kenshi's clone with scorpion's spear for repositioning. I know it probably won't happen but it would be smart of WB to make it happen. Though I feel they have Ed boon on an extremly tight leash.

Also, the whole gimmick of movie and cameo fighters is old and done at this point. What made it special in MK9 was that there was only one of them(2 if you played on PS3) and they both fit the MK universe like a glove. Why the fuck would a Xenomorph be in the game, what does it add? If I wanted an autistic mashup of my favorite characters fighting each other, there is already a much better game with more characters. It's called Mugen

The xenomorph can make  some sense because it's an alien. Even MK has to have aliens in the universe somewhere. Plus we got Predator and he fit in perfectly. What was retarded was having fuckin Freddy in 9(along with Kratos on ps3), Jason and Leatherface even if they fit aesthetically, Arnold and Stallone, and the fucking Joker because Injustice I guess.

Out of all the guests, literally only 2 made any sort of actual sense and fit in with the world to some degree.

Only reason they ever did guest characters is because it brought in money from normies because they don't even give a fuck about "le ebic blud and goots" anymore. And they certainly don't give a shit about fighting games in general.

I maintain that if these fuckheads wanna cram outside characters into their game, they should just bend over and take the CapCock and do what they need to get someone like Akuma in.

And mugen is too niche for the cattle to get into, let alone even know about. Plus those games tend to be far more hardcore and would immediately scare anyone that isn't a bit of a sweatlord away immediately. These are people who's experience with fighters is mostly just going on youtube and searching "all super arts/fatalities/combos/ALL STORY CUTSCENES" and then talking like they've competed at Evo.

I don't mind guest characters (to an extent), but I still don't get why put 2 evil Superman characters in the same game, let alone the same roster? It just doesn't make sense except for recency bias. I admit that I'll probably ask for something like Pennywise, Pyramid Head from Silent Hill, Pinhead (the non-troon version, even if transgenderism fits with Pinhead's theme), Doom Guy, Carl Johnson, etc. Variety is very necessary.

Hell, I'd probably ask for Xena the Warrior Princess, or Beatrix Kiddo (The Bride from Kill Bill, for the uninitiated), but I know this game's track record with the female form altogether since MK11.
