I've always felt the Dreamcast somehow captured late '90s cool without the late '90s cringe. Even a quarter century later, it's always 9/9/99 when you look at the Dreamcast, rather than how you look back in embarassment at Limp Bizkit or The Matrix.
That should become a trend again, transparent electronics are fun.

I hate transparent cases. Whether it was Gameboys or these Xboxes, the nature of plastics and the injection molding process means it invariably looks cloudy and uneven and you can see all the mold marks and ugly internal structure used to make the case rigid.
I love the super slim far more than the regular slim, it actually bothered to bring back design traits from the fat models like the proper curvature and glossy paneling areas while having the lowest die shrinks for way lower system temps, meanwhile the slim everyone loves is a boring ass gray slab with no real detail going on and basically next to no design language left from the initial models.I have the butt ugly super slim (It was dirt cheap on sale). I hate the dollar store quality ribbed plastic disc door. OG PS3 looks so much better. Oh my envy.
The Gamecube had some really nice colour variants.
Never played dreamcast but I briefly thought about buying the hello kitty console because it's so damn aesthetic. Though I like hk okay, it would look even better without her, the colors are so smooth.
