In light of the recent Thetan emails:

"Learning that I had more than an inkling of popularity, when for a long time, I had understood and accepted that I was unpopular."

Is he saying there was actually a time in his life where he accepted he wasn't particularly well liked? I wonder where he would've went from there if he lived in acceptance of that, or whether he lied.
He's aware his perception of his time in high school and similar stuff is pretty flawed. He's reluctant to go too deeply into the specifics, because that (reasonably) has to be pretty depressing to deal with.

I think its less because of being cool and more because he was doing phone sex with a minor. Even Chris wouldn't stoop so low as to do something like that if he knew that it was a 13 year old on the phone. He most probably wanted to forget the whole incident occured because of what he did. That he even remembers bluspike is because weens would call him and scream JULAAAY.
I'm pretty sure Barb had some part in it. IIRC, she was panicked by it because she thought Chris had fallen for a sting operation or something. Implying she believes Chris is a pedophile, or could at least pass for one. What a mom.

This comes as a surprise to me because CWC has never directly acknowledged this or shown Kengle anything other than total indifference on Facebook, adding more to the pile of evidence that OPL is an entitled, reprehensible stain

Nah, Chris doesn't owe Kengle anything. He never asked for Kengle's attention. Actually, ignoring Kengle so consistently is one of the coolest things Chris has done.

We all learn from our past mistakes. I've made a lot myself with my past times on the internet like you did here. All we can do is just not to think about it and move forward in life.

And pretty much everything in this video:

While in reality he was entirely shifting the blame to the trolls, this bubble strikes me as the most sensible thing Chris has ever expressed (at least within the comic).

To resituate the context, Chris was flung into the Time Void, being tranported to the future. While time passes in his absence, Chris still receives new memories as he was still living in the present, these are a mix of events between Issues #8-#10 in the comic and what he experienced in real-life.
Comic!Chris ignorant of what his real counterpart did, is understandably shocked by this revelation. He was already shaken by learning that Megan and him aren't friends anymore :heart-empty:, and as he recollect his memories, he realized that his actions where the cause of it. As he seems to get a mental image popping up of ShecameforCWC, his utter surprise makes me thinks he is also revulsed, as it would never cross his mind to make something so depraved. :cryblood:

Of course it's totally undermined by the next line, which Chris passive-aggressivly implies that Megan IS the one at fault for breaking up with him and that was a misunderstanding, but i like to think there was a moment he genuinely regretted drawing this picture.

He doesn't technically owe him anything but I don't think a passing 'thanks for sending me hundreds of dollars' would go amiss. But then again, more fool Kengle for hoping Chris would react like a decent human to his misplaced generosity I suppose

Has he really sent him that much? I thought he just sent him a package of sardines. He's bought a medallion and autographed photo, maybe even a commission, but that's just a business transactions, as Kengle himself has put it.

Honestly I think Chris is just annoyed with Kengle, plus the whole Sonichen bullshit.

We sent Chris hundreds of dollars. Kengle has maybe purchased ~$100 worth of Sonichu merchandise, plus a few supplies he sent Chris after the fire.

"Hello"

Keeping it simple, because let's be clear, I don't think I've heard anything else more sensible than that, lul

"I am an American."

It's true. As much as we might like to we can't pawn him off on some other poor country.

You could try England, what with his sudden newfound importance of the Weston heritage.

Actually, that is one of the things that sealed the deal in the Iran negotiations. The US promised not to go through with their threat to send Chris to Iran, and Iran agreed to extensive nuclear inspections.

Exactly, the US needs Chris, he's a vital bargaining chip.
