Most shameful game purchase

I bought Rodea the Sky Soldier because someone described it as "playing like NiGHTS into Dreams".
I got the 3ds version, and holy shit, is it BAD. How does a company fuck up a camera THAT BAD post 2012? Especially when you're basing your concept off a game that did it perfectly in both 1996 AND 2007?

this war of mine. not because it's bad. i have almost 140 hours on it. it's because i bought it at full price because it had just came out and i wanted to play it, and then it goes on sale for like 4 bucks. the only other thing i bought for full price was wallpaper engine and that actually is worth the 4 bucks.
I bought TF2 for 30 dollars and then the week after my purchase, it went on sale for half it's price.

Layers of Fear. It's stylish, but there's no substance. There are a few things I really liked about it, but ultimately the unending lazy jump scares lead me to believe that it was made specifically to cater to Let's Players. I was hoping it would fill the hole left in my heart after hearing that P.T. was cancelled, but no, I was bored. Then my ass was chapped when the game was free on Steam last year.

Civilization: Beyond Earth was the most pointless waste of money ever.

It's like someone stripped everything that made Civilization V fun out and tried to do a crappy update of Sid Meier Alpha Centauri without any talent in the Civ 5 engine.

Doesn't LoF have 6 different endings? I played it once and got a very boring ending... but wasn't willing to replay for a "more exciting" ending.

I enjoyed it, but that probably was the indica.

Starforge is a regret that will stick with me my whole life. $60 early access. Fuck me.

Aw shit yeah. I think I got the 20 dollar bundle and played it like once. It was one of the games that taught me to avoid early access.

Also DayZ standalone was a pretty shameful purchase.
Warhammer Online not long before the server shut down but too long to get a refund.

I'd say these are all ties.

I watch my friend plays Worms in their PC. Seeing how much fun it was, I decided to buy my own Worms game:

I thought this game was just a normal Worms game: a turn-based strategy game where you played a team of worms that kill other worms

I was wrong

I bought Duke Nukem Forever on release knowing full well what it was, no regret. I actually like the kinda bad games and buy them willingly and they're often the games I finish. One time I bought a bad game(Matt Hazard for the 360) and accidentally got a better bad game(Earth Defense Force for 360) by mistake, so I bought Matt Hazard again, knowing I had a second chance to rethink the situation. I regret nothing, I'm a gaming garbage picker at heart, let me see what's in that trash.

Most shameful would probably be Tobal No.1 for the PS1, just for the Final Fantasy 7 demo... that wasn't included in the European version... Part of me knew that but I stood around for hours in a store that sold imports and weird pirated games, waiting for their delivery and then bought it anyway. We actually got into playing that game, it's neat fighting game and 60fps plus some fluid animation goes a long way, then a friend borrowed it which ended with someone getting stabbed. Anyway, I actually ended up buying another copy.
