I know I'm late on this, but from the sound of it OP, Pyle has underlying issues that no amount of diet control or PT can fix. They say shaming works, but all it'll do for someone like him, is make those issues more entrenched. Pep talks clearly aren't working either.
The best answer I can give is to supplement his PT with weights, if you aren't already. Even complete tards lift weights since that's something under their complete control. Have Pyle start with something just light enough to have him build confidence, and chain that into his PT days. With luck, that should build enough just confidence and strength to improve his PT.He splays his feet when he walks or runs, which me and the other shts think means the stabilizing muscles in his legs are too weak to support his weight, so you may be right.
